ARGH!!!! My ITG data got corrupted on both of my memory cards so now I have to start unlocking everything by playing 200 songs all over again!!!!
Oh...NO! Not good I passed 3 new 10s today.
Wanna do
Vorsprung duch Techno
and Sweet World --> http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J5bHb8dwPqQ
So, now only 13 10s are left to pass
This is a 10 I passed on Monday...easy but cool song
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hys47GnSOG4
Oh and I almost passed Xuxa today... only 2 steps
Next time I`ll do it for sure!

I'd actually say Bouff is fairly easy, just a bit draining. Wanna Do is also quite easy.
Stay away from Soapy Bubble for a while, it's just messy.

Lucie, for your next 10, I would suggest Visible Noise. I found that to be one of the easier 10s.

@agentmargo: If you are referring to the Playstation 2 game, are you aware that there is a way to unlock all songs without playing? If not, the code can be found here: http://www.gamefaqs.com/ps2/927083-in-the-groove/cheats
So, I guess you need to work on reading 16ths, 32nds, mines, and perhaps jumps and step jumps, Lucie? How are you with crossovers and reading lower speeds like 1x? I suppose there is always the assist tick if that would help any. Would increasing your reading speed help? If you still have footspeed issues, I guess just try to keep your feet as close to the center as you can. It looks as if you are making good progress -- keep up the good work

@Dreamboy: I am. I used the code months ago and it didn't work, but maybe it will if I watch the video. Thank you!

You have to enter the code, play something (so it makes a save to your profile), and then the unlocks will keep.

Yeah, especially jumps and Stepjumps.
Easy crossovers are okay, but I still have problems with difficult crossovers like in Funky Factory (but this got much better sice I started to work on Oasis) .. or when they come in a 16ths stream like in Mythology (this is really bad...I`m failing every song with crossovers in 16ths streams)...
I have some speedmod problems, because sometimes x3 is to slow but x4 is to fast...or songs with higher BPMs like Pandemonium.... 1,5 is to slow, but x2 to fast...
and I think I could do better on Remember December when I could play it on something in between of x2,5 and x3.....
In the last 2 weeks I noticed that I`m learning to read faster very quick...2 weeks ago I had to play Xuxa at x3 because I didn`t get anything on x4... I used to play on x4 only up o 150bpm..., Xuxa is 160. And yesterday I had almost no problems with reading Xuxa on x4... it was just a little bit to fast... okay, I failed... but I improved my failscore from 10% to 45%
I`m very bad on reading without speedmods...I can do it only up to level 5/6..
I think thats because I have NEVER learned to play without them...
There where I played for the first time, the PS2 was at x1,5 when and no one knew how to change it... and when I found out I started playing at x2 because I noticed that this is easier... lol (yeah, I was playing level 4/5 at the end of the day)

I have still these 10s left to pass:
-Bouff
-Disconnected Hyper
-Kagami
-Know your Enemy
-Out of the Dark
-Soapy Bubble
-Tension
-Visible Noise
-Energizer
-VerTex
=10 left
OMG Help...
I can`t get them...
I`ll write on what poin of the songs I fail them....
-Bouff (middle... crossovers with jumps steps... and it`s very fast ... thats to much for me)
-Disconnected Hyper (at about 2/3 on the 16th stream)
-Kagami (on the slowdown)
-Know your Enemy (at about 1/4 of the song)
-Out of the Dark (after about 1/3 when the jumps are comming)
-Soapy Bubble (ohm....half of the song on my best try but idk how I did it.... usually I fail at the beginning)
-Tension (ohm, the fast jumps stuff again... and there many many jumps in this song)
-Visible Noise (the beginning...this song is crazy)
-Energizer (on the slowdown)
-VerTex ( depends on speedmod... without or on x1,5: fail till the middle of the song... usually earlier on x2: the end )
god, I just can`t get them....
My 11`s close to pass list is still like this:
Infection (fail in the middle on the part that is meant to be the easiest part of the song)
Xuxa (on the long 16th run on the middle)
Utopia: bon the 16ths death run ....
the Beginning ( after 2/3 on the final stream with the crossovers) I`ll give up this one for now.
and... if I would be better on slowdowns: VerTex² (fail on the first slowdown because I´m jumping not only the jumps but I`m stepping on all the mines)
Mythology (fucking end stream)
Okay, thats it...
Any suggestions?
(others than playing on Hallway Mini please)

I have a few suggestions for the 10'.
First, don't play them for 2 months and focus on other songs.
Then, get back to it. You should pass at least 5 of them out of 10.
I can see 2 main problems :
- Crossovers.
- Low speed.
So i would say, work on easier songs BUT with lower bpm than usually. Try to read at slow bpm (slow doesn't mean 50bpm x1, but slower than usually).
Work other songs (customs or ddr songs) with crossovers.
Soapy Bubble and Discconected Hyper are the hardest 10' left, imo.

I won't recomand this at all.Focusing a lot of time on a single chart... also when she will be about to clear the expert version (not the hard one like right now) she will have to do it again. :s

If you're the kind of person who just wants to say "I BEAT x" then you can commit it to memory.
However, it IS better to just learn to read 300 on 1x, so the ending doesn't kill all of you and your dogs.
I still think speeding up to 612 is a terrible charting decision by any standards.
As for the other 10s, I say reading as high a speed as you can really helps to space out those arrows and make them readable.
On easy songs, as was previously said, read low speeds to improve your ability to read low speeds.

For now I just want to pass them, but later I want to have good scores on the songs.....
and as PanStyle already said: I would have to do this memorizing stuff again when I´ll be about to pass it on Expert....
And I really don`t like VerTex enough to memorize it....
And yes, 612bpm is really heavy .... when you want to use speedmods on it...
But even if I`ll learn to read slow... I WILL need at least 1,5 612x1.5= 918 bpm... yeah...
Mh... and I`d really need x2 that would be 1024 bmp... omg...
VerTex² speedup is humanly in front of the VerTex one ... x1,5 is only 832 bpm....still hard but I can read that....
I hate VerTex for the 612 bpm part

That`s the reason why I don`t want to do that....
Thats to much time I would waste for a 10... maybe I`ll do it for the Expert 12 chart... but I really don`t want to... I`ll do it for the Expert if I`ll have to... but not for the Hard....

612*2 is a bit more than 1024
1224 is ridiculous, don't even try
In my opinion, leave VerTex and VerTex^2 to last

look...
VerTex² Medium: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LAw6ryQGgrU You won`t believe it, but this is not my worst 8! I like to play this!
VerTex Medium: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DOIH-Xopemk but this is my worst 7 with big distant....
But VerTex² is an 11 on Hard... and VerTex only a 10...

Try playing some custom 10s or even DDR 10s. Or 9s as well, then get back to the songs you're struggling with.

What seems to be your problem on Vertex is the fact that it's so slow.
I find reading slow like this to tire me out too. All I can say is practice it really. Even if your slow reading accuracy doesn't improve immediately (it will over time), the amount of tiredness and uncomfortableness that reading slow gives you should go down if you practice it on easier songs. Also, improving your timing on slow reads will improve your timing much more when you turn the speed back up.
I scored 75% on Summer -Speedy Mix- Expert 13 recently, but I can't pass Vertex Expert 12 without C450 :I
