Help with 10s and 11s ?!

I played DDR for one year and 2 months ago I started playing ITG.
So...now I have a biiiig problem: I played ITG on an event (gamescom) for the first time. There I cleared a Expert 10 song....the one and only I ever passed. (like this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9Gfpjck-FwM) And I nearly cleared Utopia Expert (11) there...it was very very close.
Then I played 2 weeks on keyboard cause I didn`t have a Pad at home....
One month ago I buyed a Pad and started playing....everything up to 9 is no problem....but I did`n pass a 10 since gamescom at all...same problkem with 11s....I fail all the song about half way....Oh, and I get nearly the same scores at 10s and 11s at the moment I fail....
I fail Queen of light at 40%....Anubis about 35% the rest of the 10s about 15-30% ....And I fail all 11s at about 10-25% ...the best scores on 11s were Utopia whith about 50% (now I fail allways at about 20%) Mythology 24% and Vertex² 15%

I don`t understand what happened...after I was so "good" there in cologne I thought I would play 10s without problems like I play 9s now....I same for 11s...
Please tell me what would you do? Cause I really don`t know what to do anymore......I even can`t pass my favorite song!
Am I doing something wrong?

There is a large gap in difficulty when it comes to ITG.
A 10 like Sweet World or Soapy Bubble compared to Temple of Boom or Queen of Light is really pushing it.
As for 11's, the same.
Play more.

Maybe it's because you haven't played for those two weeks. I didn't play for a month and now I can barely get AA's on 10 (New Scale) on DDR.

I'd suggest you play many more easy 9's as you said, and try to gradually build up to where you once were. Sorry if I can't be any more help, I rarely play ITG.

Ehm...my scores on 9s really improoved since that one time I played in August....
But still...too bad.....
I played on softpads before (until june 10) then I started to destroy one pad after another...so I didn`t play whole july and only one time in august (there I played ITG for the first time and loved it).
Maybe it`s cause of the Pad? Or the really big screen we had in august and here at home I have only my small screen?
Or am I just bad? This are the 3 possible reasongs I thought of....

Haha, Queen of Light was the second 10' I ever passed. Tribal Style was the first one.
Good spins btw, I can't even do those yet.

It's probably best to just work on tighter timing at this point. It will be much easier to pass 10-footers if you can get 85-90% on 9-footers. Don't rush into higher levels - concentrate on understanding the patterns first.

Play some DDR 9s. They tend to be much easier than ITG 9s. ITG ratings (mentioned above) can get weird sometimes.

Mythology is a 7 until the jumps, a 9 during the jumps, and an 11 in the stream.
Queen of light isn't like the other 10s. It's only a 10 because of the hands, which were still a new concept at the time and newer players will have trouble with it.

this. If you don't learn how to control your movements better, you won't improve.

Play So Deep from DDR. If you can pass that, try Tribal Style on ITG. You might benefit from playing more 8 footers too.

Other DDR 9 footers are good too because most of them are easy, but have one or two harder parts.

The only help I can give is keep practicing. You sound like your in the boat I was in 2 years ago. Utopia is the easiest 11 and should be a 10 IMO. Try more 9s and easy 10s. Also I would play the songs your having trouble with on a easier difficulty, so you can get a better feel of the song.

I've yet to pass mythology and I've done Determinator . The jumps kill me too much to get anything on the runs. Keep in mind this is from the guy that did MAXX Unlimited before MAX 300.

DDR 10s that you could practice are:
Chaos(my first 10)
Healing-D-Vision (don't do on challenge unless you can hit death run streams really well, lol)
Max 300
G2(haven't tried this yet, but it looks easy)

Here are some of the easy SN2 boss songs, for some reason, they are all 9s.
Unreal:hea9)
Trip Machine Pheonix:hea9) and :cha10)
NGO:hea9)
Outer Limits:hea10) - technically from DDR Festival

Also, try playing Charlene without the mines. That song is an 11, but the mines are pretty much the only hard part.

If you're looking for some DDR songs to try, look at this list of all old songs in X2 AC with ratings.

Keep in mind that 15s are equivalent to the old scale's proper 10s (such as MAX 300), while 12s-14s are old scale 9s (note that Healing-D-Vision, CHAOS, and Paranoia survivor are 14s).

Imo, you should restart on 7-8 and then 9' before 10' again.
Work on your timing/stamina/technique.
More you're out of breath, more your timing and technique will suck.
Also, if your timing is awesome you'll save more life and pass song easily even if you miss some arrows.
And remember this game is not "button mashing", technique is all about galop, crossovers ect.

Anyway train on 7'-8'-9' before 10'.

Learn to build a wall before trying to build a castle.


Also what Aegis said on 10' and above. Some are super easy, some other are hellish.

Max 300 medium is in no way a great practice for the hard chart.

If you've never done 300 bpm 8th streams before, it is. There are a couple of quite nasty ones in it. Granted, it won't help with stamina, but still.
