First of all, love the fact that we finally have a site with (mostly) 320 kbps. Any chance we could get that done with some of the older packs? It's missing from some newer ones as well. It's heaven for an audiophile like me.
My main problem is I'm trying to sort out some file differences from your packs and the ones I originally got from DDRUK.
Major problem being song locations are different in some cases, and I don't know if I can safely delete the old steps.
Example: DDR Extreme Japanese PS2 has A stupid Barber and un deux trois contained in it. However, these files, according to DDRUK, originated in Dancing Stage Fusion, along with others like Tomorrow Perfume, Kids In America and Try 2 Luv. U.
The "Money" song in the Beta pack exists in my DDR 1st mix folder.
Anyone who is familiar with the DDRUK packs, are these all just duplicate steps? Can they be safely deleted?
Also, the Club Mix v2 is very incomplete, at least from what I can tell. I have 44 songs in my folder for that section.
Would be nice to get a 320 kbps rip of Salamander (Beat Crush mix). (Not to mention Korean versions!)
Thanks in advance for the help.

Due to the fact we can't get 320kbps rips of those, we haven't got those up yet.

The Club Mix PSX discs use Redbook Audio. Is that worth ripping? I assume it's the highest quality audio that exists, since the arcade game generates the audio in realtime from sample?

DDRUK lists them according to :
First UK arcade appearance > First Japanese appearance > Japanese canon
Z-I-V lists them according to :
First chronological availability of the song > Japanese canon
The easiest way is probably to figure out which filing system is easier for you to remember songs by, download and arrange the ZIV files accordingly, and then use the DDRUK packs to fill in the blanks?

As a matter of fact, any reason why we don't just have the courses on this site yet?

I agree with the above statement, but I have renamed and re-arranged my song folders (i.e. those that appear in Extreme 2 whether old or new are in Extreme 2), and that would make editing the course files very tedious.

My main concern is the steps being the same or not.
Can I safely delete the old DDRUK versions that are in the different packs, or are they different steps? I know some songs in my current pack appear in more then one spot because different versions used different steps.
I could make a full list of which songs I am worried about if it helps.
I'm paranoid about data/step loss. It's happened before.

I seriously doubt that ZIV edited any step-charts because that would be useless and a major waste of time.
One way I would check to ensure my hypothesis is correct is to check the alternate charts (solo, couples) stuff that is extremely unlikely that anyone would re-create. If the new charts have all the solo and couples as the previous charts (I would spot-check) then I would feel comfortable deleting the old and replacing with the new.

I'm in the process of ripping the Club mixes to 320kbs. I started weeks ago, but actually worked on it this morning. I'm really lazy to re-sync them to the steps though...

Found at least one difference.
The challenge steps on un deux trois are missing.
Also, minor dwi quirks, like this from Try 2 Luv. U:
//#SINGLE:FUSION MISSION #49:1: (bunch of number)
or this, all from just ONE 4th mix song:
//#SINGLE:5th Mix Edit #403:1:
//#SINGLE:5th Mix Edit #404:1:
//#SINGLE:5th Mix Edit #405:1:
//#SINGLE:5th Mix Edit #406:1:
//#SOLO:5th Mix Edit #501:1:
//#SINGLE:5th Mix Edit #502:1:
//#SINGLE:5th Mix Edit #503:1:
//#SINGLE:5th Mix Edit #504:1:
//#SINGLE:5th Mix Edit #601:1:
//#SINGLE:5th Mix Edit #602:1:
//#SINGLE:5th Mix Edit #603:1:
//#SINGLE:5th Mix Edit #604:1:
//#SINGLE:5th Mix Edit #701:1
//#SINGLE:5th Mix Edit #702:1:00
etc.
Any chance edit data packs and mission mode packs will be available?
On a side note, I really wish there was a metal pad with recessed buttons like the Energy Metal Dance Pad that was designed for solo-mode play...

When I had to start my collection anew, the Dub-I-Dub simfile I downloaded here is lacking the maniac2 (harder maniac chart) oni chart.
Also, I can't seem to find Let Them Move's original 2nd ReMix chart.

Some things to watch out for, maybe:
Ultramix/Festival crossover charts (in my eyes, OUTER LIMITS, etc.)
Ultramix 4 / DLC new charts by Konami Hawaii (STILL IN MY HEART (MOMO MIX), un deus treux but I guess you found that)

Some of the old charts can be found at http://makou.pestermom.com/ddruk/ for now since DDRUK is offline.
Hopefully the data from DDRUK will be forked over after the site is gone. I know there were more additional steps then in the un deus trois that they added to the main songs. I'm quite OCD when it comes to my collections, and I've already replaced a lot of files, having forgotten about those additional steps.

Data was ripped from SuperNova EU AC to update the simfiles. As such, they were missing the solo and couple charts. I am currently in the process of restoring them to the respective simfiles.
The maniac2 charts of Dub-I-Dub and Have You Never Been Mellow appeared on DDR $th Mix Plus, so that is where you will find them.
The oni chart for un deux trois did not appear in any JP or EU CS game. It appeared on an Xbox Ultramix4 songpack. Doing a search for un deaux trois will show you which songpack contains that song.

Is there a list of what packs are from which versions? I normally put the packs in with the main groupings.
Also, where can I download the CDTitle pack you guys use? I don't feel like renaming all the old DDR UK ones to fit the new standard, and there's some that are missing, mostly newer ones.
Final note... any chance that Ultramix One and Two might get audio updates? It almost pains me to hear Castles in the Sky, Ready Steady Go, and I feel... toy remix at 128 kbps. They're home version so the audio should be simpler to obtain, right?
