The Unlock Criteria is to achieve an A on all nonstop courses (ParaPara Mix, Club Mix...), the songs will unlock. You unlock three more courses and so on.
I wonder which songs are on the demo version.

Downloaded the trial. I don't have KINECT so after the intro movie listing all the songs in the game, it kicks me back out to the dashboard.

It's in my download queue. I'll check it out in a bit
EDIT:: A Geisha's Dream, Unity and We Can Win The Fight are in the demo. Pretty fun game although it's VERY easy to cheat the poses. I wasn't even close on half of them and managed to get Perfects.

Creating new songs for this is harder than your average DDR stepchart.
Besides the markers points, you have to create an entirely new choreography, and they're usually done by "professionals" which cost some bucks.
Most likely they are looking into DLC (or working on them, ATM), but I bet they will release them when the Kinect hype is completely gone.

You'd think they would prepare song DLC before game launch so there wouldn't be such a disconnect between launch and song DLC. With each passing day, interest fades.

Nice, if it gets that low in the UK, I will pick up KINECT along with it. It's retailing $53~ equivalent at the moment here.
