Do you really, now? How many of you guys have played it yet, and how far have you gotten? I went "North" on Hard, and so far I'm up to Dracula. (And just shy of 1000 deaths.) Old news I know, but still noteworthy.
Spelunky is a little more forgiving. But there's no routine to clear it, because the levels shuffle themselves around every time you play it. It's also full of fun things to discover, that won't be obvious the first couple hundred times you play it, either.
BOTH ARE COMPLETELY FREE.
Anybody else also get into the indie-gamer scene?

La Mulana. All it costs you is your life. Repeatedly.
Eversion, on Zaratustra's site, which also contains a fun gimmicky "OmniLudiCron" I messed with quite awhile back. I just wish I could make multi-screen scenes with it.
Aquaria. Has a free demo, not totally free - but it's freaking HUGE.

I didn't get far on IWBTG. Stuck on the first boss for exemple on the upper road. Or couldn't pass the tetris part.
I didn't play the game that much but...
...it is AWESOME
The game is so hard and so unfair, it is hilarious sometimes :p
I remember discovering the game by total randomness on YouTube.
Couldn't play the game but i could watch video.
Every day, i watched some let's play of Cloud8745 (maybe 25 video of 8min average).
I could discover a part of the game one dat after a other.
I didn't play the game that much but...

Mighty Jill Off is a wonderfully crafted game. I haven't been able to beat the extra level. I find difficulty beating the first level in the allotted time to access the second.
