Member Behaviour

I've received complaints from certain members saying that some particular members in the forums are treating him/her harshly for a sustained period of time.

I'll make it clear, bullying of any sort in the forums is totally unacceptable and if you are found doing so by others or myself, you are basically lining up yourself for a ban. This is regardless of your user rating; elitism is unacceptable here too.

Post any comments you have if any.

The only people I can really think of who get bullied are people who end up getting banned shortly after because they warranted it. Then again, we don't see everything that goes on.

Oh don't get me wrong, it's not the banned members that are complaining, it's genuine members that are raising the issue with me, hence why I want to make people aware.

Okay, people. If any of you start picking a scapegoat to make fun of or harass at for no particular reason, then you shouldn't do it period. That is such a childish behavior and I don't want to see any of that, and I'm sure no one else likes to see that, either. So, if you think for ONE lousy second that it's okay to recklessly make fun of someone, think again. It's not cool. Seriously.

while this is partially true, certain members here can really be up their own ass and act very elitist/harsh towards newer members for smaller mistakes. this harshness leads to negative ratings, and then an uncalled for ban. yes it's annoying when someone revives a thread or posts something irrelevant, but when it's their first few posts, why are you going to rate them to shit when they've only been here for a short amount of time?
i'm not surprised we don't see many new members around here, they must all be so scared of getting banned by you guys.

I second that. . . I've been bullied just like that with my first few posts. I create a new thread and asked some questions, I made an itsy-bitsy mistake, then 1-2-3 I have a -5 rating

This is really a problem, but worse, this doesn't always have to occur to new members. We already know the blunder I made in one of Lord Toon's threads, and then people came and railed on me and whoosh, my rating dropped with 50 points! This is almost the same thing as bullying new members, yet the only exception is that I've been registered here for years.

I also fear that Toon might still be mad at me for that thing...........

Aegis flamebaits and occasionally offends members with no age consideration... But still... invulnerable for any sanctions no matter what...
