DDR X2 CS Theme ver2.1 for SM 3.9a, SM 3.9 Plus REDUX and SM AMX

it is really different announcer in X2 game actually... too bad they also include DDRX1 Announcer back in my DDRX2 rips... so it will have two variations for every item and i haveto filter them out which belongs to DDRX1 and the others to DDRX2. So i think i need somebody's help to sort them and put them in the correct category folder under Announcer... cuz i haven't completely heard all of what X2 announcer's saying during my previous play in PS2.

What make announcer in stepmania's lacking is the what I call the player specific announcer folders where to put some like saying "Player 1... On the run" or "Player 2 On the run" or any announcer' s comments for player 1 and 2, so maybe they might not be included in the announcer folder.

When I went to load the ddr x2 theme for 3.9 it freezes at the page where I can change the theme, announcer etc.... is this a glitch?

sometimes it takes few secs to load the song select screen.

As long as you have ripped the announcer sounds just give them to me and I'll take care of it. Right now, I have the announcers already of DDR X.

I have a request:
could you make the music samples loop again after 3 seconds just like in the arcade?

Is there anyway to remove the crowd cheering before the song starts.

Go to the BGAnimations/ScreenGameplay Go folder and delete the sound file in there.

I have a chunk of ideas that you can... maybe add to the game? and some tweaks that should be done:

-I noticed that the "CD disappear animation" is missing
It should jive with the Banner disappear animation right? and the Disappear animation of the CD is the reverse animation of the CD's Appear animation right?

-When were on this part of the Music Wheel, this part:

can you perhaps make us change difficulty when we're on this part of the Music Wheel?

-Maybe you can change the beginner helper into a character BG video? Like in SuperNova

-I just noticed this on Versus mode, the bar becomes half and full again when the "Easter Egg" or "Toastie" replacement appears.

-also, the speedometer should jive with the BMP presentation. When the BMP goes down, the speedometer also goes down and when the BMP goes up, the speedometer also goes up

-also... in the song wheel options, when you press the left and right arrows at the same time, the options become:
: normal (nothing changed)
: Series title (same as norma)
: Best
: etc...

now here's the problem, the options Normal and Series title are the same. . . now could you just delete the "Normal" option and just replace it with the "series title" option instead? 'cause it's kinda worthless having 2 "series tile" options

About speedometer in Stepmania:

Honestly, i have no solution to this problem due to the limitation of the program (unless if Stepmania 3.9 and REDUX patch continue to update). Same for all the themers who uploaded their work I think have the same issue. So that served only as sprite animation not derived in the BPM speed of any song. That animation is permanent for all songs. Hindi kaya ng powers ko (My powers can't do this) lol.

About the CD image-out animation:

Yes, i just noticed it already, it's not the reverse of the CD image-In Animation. It is somewhat like --- starting from the 100% zoom image, the height shrinks to the 0% zoom while the width is widening at about 10% perhaps. Thanks to youtube. Being updated now.


Updates:

- all images in Summary Evaluation screens were updated.
- DDR X2 announcer is complete; will soon have a beta release together with the next theme update upload.
- combo number and combo label in Gameplay screen were displayed not aligned to each other. This was fixed.
- the whole inside judgment frame in Stage Evaluation screen updated. The judgment frame image updated too.
- all image display timing in Stage Screen updated; matched from the DDR X2 CS.
- difficulty display text in Select Music Screen is updated.
- Stage no. images in Select Music Screen and Stage Evaluation updated.

I was wondering if you could help - i have a lower spec system, and if you could make a 320x240 resolution of the main background movie in the select music screen, that would greatly help me be able to play using this theme. This solution also worked with the SN2 and X themes.

Also. . . when you get marvelous on all steps, the combo meter becomes pure white right? I noticed that the combo meter didn't glow like it usually did in X and X2

You're right about the BPM speedo not implementable in 3.9. It's planned for 4's default theme, but I've not seen a theme that uses it properly yet.

I also got the same problem too with the BGA. The BGA size is 720X480 so please shrink the video to 320X240 please sillybear?

And also sillybear, if you have any progress, updates or changes made on the theme, please post us a screenshot so that we can see it further.

Also, since you have yet to rip the Encore Extra Stage graphic, due to the difficulty to get there, try starting a new game (no save file) and just use RANDOM in place of a difficult Extra Stage song (i.e. Pluto The First) just make sure you have the correct difficulty selected, which ever one is the only one available on the red song.

You could do the random option with DERGS, but since it is only on Challenge, you must select Random with Challenge.

Aside from graphical updates, all movies are now reduced to 320x240 resolution, with the exception to special ending vid cuz it still in 640p otherwise the scrolling text is not readable.

The DDR X2 Announcer was also tested OK in Stepmania 4 Alpha 4, but there ia a minor "bug": the sounds under ScreenTitle Menu (when being idle e.g. in DDRX1's "What are you waiting for..." or something like that) still play starting from the Warning Screen up to Pay/Free and home Title Menu Screen.

Edit: Building SM4 version of DDR X2 since yesterday. Finished working from Warning Screen until the Select Style Screen using the base theme. Hi-def mode already...
