I think I broke a personal record for the number of new PFCs earned in a single session: 19, which is the number of Expert/Challenge singles/doubles charts from all of the DDR X2 licenses in the recent removal list that I haven't already PFCed. And yes, I PFCed the entire removal list in one session. Highlights from this session include:

PFC #357 (it's an SDP and also the world e-amuse record, to boot)


I just found out that I missed the world record by 1 perfect. :( Maybe I'll try to go for the record before the song is gone.

First: Sorry for image blurriness. My phone hates functioning, and the result screen allows for like 15 seconds of fumbling. Doesn't help that my hands are incapable of not shaking.

So, none of these are really impressive in the grand scheme of things, I know. But considering the length of time I've been playing, it's about time I started AAing stuff.







Obviously I'm not great, but I've always had issues with consistent accuracy. So it feels good to finally be able to keep up these kinds of numbers.

Also getting random misses that I don't think I can blame on the pads. I'm going to attribute it to being used to a modded ITG cabinet. Otherwise numbers were good all day.

Went back on DDR after a week's vacation away from any good machines. Finally got a full combo on Dynamite Rave with the X music.



Also managed to AA Electro Tuned before the up arrow on the X2 machine at Dave & Buster's Orlando went to s**t again. Personally, I think they just have the screws too tight.

It was the last of the charts I needed to PFC for this song and surprisingly took the most number of tries out of all of them.

I'm getting there.
On another note, when custom songs are easily doable in PS2 DDRs, what will qualify as "official"? For example, say someone ports MEI to Supernova and clears/FCs/whatevers it without any alteration of the steps. Would that count for this thread? It technically is on an official release of DDR, just not an official songlist.

Well, compared to the rest of these it's nothing to special, but I passed my first Expert chart today at the arcade. It was Ska Ska No. 3 (iirc it was a high D, coulda been a C but the jumps at the end got me and I was almost out of stamina by that point). And now, I'm too used to the 8ths that I can't do half as well on the Difficult chart (with 4ths at the beginning). The 8ths make more sense to me anyway...

Also, I was gonna take a picture, but by the time I got my phone camera loaded and stuff, the machine was already on song select.

Oh, and I almost forgot: I cleared a song on Supernova with a score of 6,666,666. Don't remember what it was (either Afronova Difficult or Trip Machine Difficult).

I've begun an exercise regimen to get myself much better in shape than I currently am. Need to do a good bit of tightening up before I can go to the next level.

Just in the first week, I am already burning all over. But I did manage a couple pretty good milestones.

First, I AA'd bag. (For the record, I played it on 6x.)



Then, I took a shock AA on Going Up Heavy. This was literally my first time playing it on Heavy. I'd tried out the shock arrow Challenge chart before.

Came back today (2 days after the original post). I think the new exercise regimen is already paying some dividend.

FC AA on Captain Jack X2. Not my best PA, but it represents a massive improvement, as it cut 7 misses.



First A on Across the Nightmare Heavy. Also a machine high.



FC AA on Vanity Angel. Also a machine high. First play, I got 916k, but I knew I could do better.



AA on Super Driver. Ended up accidentally selecting this on Heavy with 1X and Vivid as a first song, and got a B. Had to do it at 2X with Solo for my pride. It was my first time playing it.



Down to 3 greats on Super Star. If I PFC this, I'm gonna freak.



First A on Burning Heat! I can follow it just fine. I'll get a AA on it eventually.



AA on BRE∀K DOWN!



Personal best and machine high on Flow Heavy. I've FC'd it before, so just gotta clean it up a bit.



And now for the Hell Round.

Personal best on Orion.78 Civilization Mix. First time getting no misses.



Personal best on exotic ethnic. This represents a quantum leap. Cut 8 misses, and improved my MA by 45. This was the first time I was able to follow the final run all the way through.



I also passed Max 300 Heavy for the second time. But being exhausted, it wasn't my best score.

I got to play ~10 songs at the location test yesterday (8 with video), but I think the most impressive achievement from them is probably my play of FLOWER Challenge (973,690, 1 Miss, 28 Greats)


There was that and then there was also Over The "Period" , which I could probably do better on with more arcade experience and if I had more mods to choose from (I had no eamuse card or premium play)

Funny that Bemani Dog mentioned that he started a workout regiment involving DDR. So have I.

I'm using it as my cardio days. I go [almost] every Tuesday and Thursday. I'm also using this opportunity to just get better and take advantage of the machine that's currently in my area (it's had a history of having DDR machines come and go often in the past 12 years). I've never really focused on trying to get better, I just have fun and the progress follows, so this is a little new to me. I'm working on both my stamina and my accuracy. So I guess I'll post the scores that I decided were noteworthy or important to tracking my progress. I wish I started this way earlier so I y'all could see where I started, lol.

[stamina] A couple of days ago (8/10) I got my first AA on MAX 300.

It was only my 3rd time playing the song ever on a machine. (I don't play a whole lot of boss songs as such, except MAX 300 SMMM, which is my favourite and I play all the time), so not only was I surprised at the AA, I was surprised at how close I got to a AAA. I missed the very last triplet down arrow before the final jump. ugh. Soon, maybe.

Second try on Decade, and I get a FC AAA. Here's another one I'm gonna target for a PFC.



You'll notice my scores are on the 2P side this time. They seem to have finally fixed the 2P side at Dave & Buster's Orlando. But whatever they did might've screwed up the 1P side, where it's frequently hyper-actuating the up arrow. I could see it flashing frequently when I took over an abandoned Happy Mode round.

An improvement on Going Up. No misses. Minor timing issues for this one; I blame myself this time.



After that, I decided to really test the 2P side and play some boss songs on Difficult.

First full combo on MAX 300 (not my first AA). Don't know how I did the last run.



Passed Healing-D-Vision for the first time.



Should've done PARANOiA -Respect- before HDV. This is a personal best and machine high.



Personal best and machine high on MAXX UNLIMITED.



Personal best on The legend of MAX. Getting close to being able to do the jumps at the end.



Personal best and machine high on FELM.



I'm surprised I'm closer on Fascination MAXX than FELM.



Personal best and machine high on MAX 300 SMMM. I pretty much bailed on the final run. If I ever get the final run, that will open the door to passing all the MAX songs on Heavy.

Worked my way down on Candy Star. 16 greats, then 14, then 8, finally 7 (the last one was selected erroneously, I was ready to settle for 8)



And I finally got my PFC on Kimono Princess Light
