Dude, enough already, I removed the file. DMaxel is currently working on a JS simfile for my project, since I didnt like my steps for it anyway. The graphix rightfully belong to mantis, and it was a BIG mistake to post them without asking, even though I gave credit to him, and did not claim them to be mine, but the people who hate me still are gonna bash me anyway

In the commercial world this leads to lawsuits, y'know (just look at all the artists that get pissed off when a rapper samples their song). If you do it, expect people to get pissed off!
Of course, on the flipside... we are talking about simfiles that almost invariably use commercial, non-public domain audio... and in 99.9% of cases without permission from the original artist. The irony of this is not lost on me.
[*] Unless it is licensed using e.g. Public Domain or some flavours of the Creative Commons licenses, in which case permission is implicit.

Seriously though, if you don't want anyone to complain from not getting consent to use their work, just produce your own original material (graphics, song cuts, stepcharts) and then people won't have reason to complain.
