Blinking text is a precursor to ads, in that they exist to annoy users back in the old days. IE doesn't support blink tags on purpose.
Also, is it possible to add a "ambiguous/unspecified/unknown" option in the gender area of the User options? I like the black bg that
my avatar gets placed into and I want the option to set it to that color (as well as blue and pink) anytime I want.

Erm, the blink is actually part of the W3C CSS specifications and is allowed.
Internet Explorer doesn't support it because it has poor CSS support. It lives on it's own little World, but IE9 is set to change that opinion I think, we'll see...

Looking very good
I wonder...will the themes be able to cover not just the top part of the site but also the sides? That would be a pretty neat thing to have
