Bemani Urban Dictionary

Ok so here's what this is about. If anyone is willing to help out in anyway, I would gladly help start a Urban Dictionary type of website. The whole idea started up in ZIV's Let it out thread with DesROWRoku's post about having an UD type of website for Bemani. This is just an idea for now and It would only get started if there were serious and committed members on the project. Any old members on any previous projects like this one would be appreciated if they gave any information about what to expect or things of that nature. I would put in a lot of my time really for this if I had enough help. Like I said earlier it's just an Idea really. I have seen the Bemani wiki but I was thinking something other than a wiki page, although, I wouldn't shoot that out of the idea pool.

Here's what would be on the website. If you have any ideas post them and I will add them onto the list.
- A massive "dictionary" that has terms of anything Bemani related. ANYTHING
- User contributions
- Detailed and i mean DETAILED information on the various Bemani games and franchise.
- Dedicated team for the site
- Lists and Music guides.
- Rumor Mill (If anyone is into that)
- A joined or separate forum in the future.

Trivia is good, that is a plus for any site. I'm a real junkie when it comes to finding about things or looking up what's related to what and so on.

Just to let some people know this is not to outdo Remywiki or any other Bemani Info site/wiki but to become something. Whether it's a general information site or a quick way for new or old members to easily look up terms in a database. It's to add on to the ever growing Bemani community. Hopefully people won't think think that I'm taking up anyone's time with this.

Ok sorry about the dead status on my part. I've been dealing with some family issues as of late and haven't really had time to think up anything to put up on the thread. However I will start posting some website concepts and some information as to what I/we think should go towards the site. Just letting you know that I am still thinking on this and still working things together.

I'd be happy to contribute. I was only involved in the Bemani / Pump community between 1998 and 2001, so I don't know many modern terms, but can probably contribute a ton of old terms and trivia from the pre-DDRUK days.

That's the kind of stuff needed. The old and new information people either forgot about long time ago or end up having to spend 4 hours trying to Google things. Thanks much!

Things can't be googled, that's the only problem. A lot of discussion back then was on forums that don't exist, and were never cached by google, while they were around.

Some stuff is just absolutely lost to time, because the games don't even exist anymore, or aren't accessible. I had a couple of arguments on this board about the triple-step in Uh La La La, and the Extra Stage and One More Extra Stage on DS Fusion. They all exist, but there's no way to prove the statements are true, because all discussion about them has been deleted from the internet, and DS and Fusion machines aren't readily accessible.

I saw a reference to the triple-step in Bemanistyle, not sure who wrote it, but yeah what you said about trying to find stuff with search engines is true (obviously) so I think maybe there should be something like a section where old and lost information has a place. Much like the "Things you didn't know about Bemani" thread from BMS or for old left out stuff the "Looking back at what Konami threw away" thread. I know the regulars already know of these threads but for the newer members they probably are stuff that they would never have known or found. I want this site to be an extension of those kinds of subjects and still be a "definition" website.
