Didn't remember already using my three votes yesterday, but noticed it once it was brought up.

Anyway, I'm REALLY surpised Kimochi lasted as long as it did. I remembered reading quite a bit of negativity in different places about the song and I thought it would be reflected here. Every time its score dropped below 20, I kept finding myself saying "Okay, NOW it's going to get booted."



...Waiting for Nightmare to jump in, high-five the people that voted off Kimochi, and start jerking one out to its death.

Game's over already? Bloody 'ell. I was expecting Kimochi to win this. I like Stop Violence!, but it's not my favourite. The thing about this is that negative voting harms more than positive voting heals, so really the winners will either be massivlely liked by everyone (which the only song I can think of winning something like this is HVAM) or win on account of it being a bit middling.

Suprised Uni2 bowed out so soon, I was wanting Emi's Song to be in the Top 10 at least (for me, it's a winner). And 27 songs being deemed worse than Dance Till The Fucking Sun Come Up.

Nah... I don't really hate Kimochi that much, in fact it isn't so bad at all in my opinion.

It was just too bad that I made Howie, SIlenttype and Exor to my enemies in the process...! As a result, Horsemen of the Invisible, The Tide and Unborn (these were my top 3) fell really quick.

I was personally surprised at how easily the other two Melody & Mezzo songs went down, compared to Kimochi. (I like Kimochi btw) And I was fully expecting (but not really excited) that Don't Don't Go Away would win.
Happy that so many of my favorite songs lasted so long, though (e.g., dirty digital, Dummy, Gutterpunk, HIT THE GROUND).

Kimochi isn't a bad song, it's just not that great. But with such an awesome songlist, any ranks below great are barely distinguishable.

Definitely agree, Oni, about "a bit middling". Everyone started going after each other's favorite early on, which led to many shocking eliminations. Starting at around #30, patterns of five good/five bad, good-bad alternating, etc. became increasingly common. This whole boot list was so random, from DDGA's long standing on the chopping block to Contra's sudden elimination, so I wouldn't take seriously the late-ass boots of Senses and DTTSCU. Very rarely does the super popular song win, and this was no exception. Some winners, like Frozen Ray and U Can't Touch This, aren't in the DDR mainstream much, but this is the most UTR winner we've had so far.

My pre-game pick was dirty digital. It seemed like something that was universally popular, but then I noticed that nobody was healing it besides me. So then I thought, "Well, it HAS to be Elfadiciell or IWBYS". But Exor and Telperion had different plans and some kind of just went along with it. I wasn't expecting any Togo song to last until the final 25, let alone to be the last Uni2 song or to win!

I seriously expected DDGA to win, since everyone liked it and simply kept it on the side while healing when necessary. It was down to 7 around the midway point only to be capped again, after which I thought "sure finalist". Unfortunately, because everyone had their own priorities, it was able to die.

So none of my absolute favorites won (although dirty digital came pretty damn close), but I still love the winner.
