)On-topic: this game would actually survive in the US if it were to come out (if from what i am seeing on that piece of gameplay there isn't a 9 button controller with the game, you just use your wii-mote)

According to http://www.inside-games.jp/news/354/35485.html, the game will include only 40+ songs.
I think this game is totally aimed at a new audience rather than the AC/PS2 fan bunch.

Hey, look at what IGN just leaked
There are arrows on the buttons, persumably which direction to jab the Wiimote or nunchuck to push them.
There is a 9 button mode, but it appears to require 2 or 4 players.
The description says it's for kids. I guess I shouldn't expect any 43s.
IGN says it supports custom soundtracks.
Score only seems to appear in the results screen. Only four digits, too.

The one thing making me happy is the inclusion of ACTUAL POP'N MUSIC CHARACTERS. I mean, freaking HAMANOV's in there!
