They might have been lazy and/or greedy enough to include the announcer files (and thus the names of every future DLC song) on the disc!

But they haven't.

If they did include it on disc wouldn't we have known what DLC we were getting in theory?

Yes, as four letter codes and nothing else.

I'd say so, but knows this might not be the only DLC we get between now and the next DDR release.

I am excited. It seems like the releases will be very similar to DDR S+. If you have song packs on that game, this PS3 dlc would be extra painful seeing you bought the same songs over again.

However, the newest song pack on S+ has a lot to offer... I'm assuming at some point we will get that. I pray we do. Ballad of the Feathers and Mei, anyone?

There might be a 3rd and 4th set of DLC considering the number of potential packs to go:



The 150 song pledge can be achieved if 9 of those "folders" have 10 songs and the other 12 have 5 songs each. (9 x 10) + (12 x 5) = 150 songs; but I doubt that's happening.

No to mention there are double packs like Supernova Hits 1&2 which leaves room for making more packs for the same title.

The press release says, quote "150+"

Every DDR-named group : 10 songs = 150

Six I Love DDR groups: +???

So it's extremely probable that they will literally deliver 150+ DLC songs for this game.

I've also been thinking about the large amount of DLC. Some people find it strange that there were so many packs pushed out at the same time. Typically for DDR S+, Konami is releasing three at a time... And DDR for the PS3 just got six (One mix getting two packs for no reason). Maybe this is Konami's way of apologizing (And correcting their course)? Releasing the DLC meant for the 12th and the 19th all on the 19th? That would explain the sheer number of packs and the double-up on SuperNOVA 2. Now they're on track for the third release date (whenever that is).

Just a word of warning to trophy hunters out there: the DLC becomes part of club mode. This means that "TRICK MASTER" just became longer... like impossibly long. I'm not sure if you have to fully max the bar to all the DLC or not, but either way; they prevent you from getting the on-disc songs.

TRICK MASTER is ridiculous anyways. The mod where they lower one or more of the four lanes makes not failing almost impossible. Because of this mod, you fail out of Club Mode before you can rack up a good amount of points. It's so dumb.

So it looks like for the ratings, they generally made 10-11 translate to 8, and 12-13 translate to 9. There's no 14's yet so we don't know how they treat them... but I really disagree with some of the bumps. The only ones that are really justified are My Only Shining Star and Arrabbiata. INNOCENCE OF SILENCE and RED ZONE are 9's? They were solid 8's. Not to mention they bump that but keep Flow (true style) Challenge an 8. I guess D2R works as an 8, but Star Gate Heaven not really. Feels like overall the standard of what are 9's and 8's have become easier.

Didn't all the songs just keep their original 1-10 ratings? The only games with 1-18/20 ratings are X and X2, and there's no packs from there yet.
