I've been having malware on my computer (as you can probably tell by my complaints and status) and I've been talking to my friend about it.
He says large security suites like McAfee, etc. tend to say that they've deleted malware when they really haven't. Then he found this great program called Malwarebytes' Antimalware. He had a trojan horse on his computer and McAfee told him it was deleted, but it wasn't. Malwarebytes' Antimalware, he told me, was really able to get rid of it and works really well for his computer.
Has anyone ever tried this? I want to see some reviews before I try it.

Yeah it works. We had this virus called anitvirus 2009 that makes popups and tells you to buy a program to get a virus off but would actually puts more viruses (Im not stupid and saw this was obviously a scam lol). We tried Mcafee, webroot, and something else i cant remember but this was the only thing that got the virus off. Make sure you get the real thing because there are a few imitators out there. But yeah it works great.

same situation happened me also about the fake antivirus 2009 warnings and advertisements(changes the background into bloody red with danger sign, can't open taskbar etc.)... Malwarebytes Anti-malware software is the only solution for this where some malwares anti-virus programs can't detect can be deleted...

Yeah we've had Charter High-Speed Security Suite for a while. It sucks!
OK I just downloaded it a while ago. It wasn't even 45 seconds and it picked up 88 infected objects!

Apparently it's forever, after talking to my friend. Just limited I think.
Update: 102 malware as of now, versus Charter Suite finding literally 2.

Limited featurewise, as in, it can scan for malware, but not remove?Update: 102 malware as of now, versus Charter Suite finding literally 2.

The free version can remove malware but has no real-time protection.

Exactly. I guess the real version is if you're like a big time downloader.
I got 123 malware on my computer, and 121 of those were trojans. Pretty nasty stuff.

Fair enough. Will give it a shot when I get the chance.
