It was free at FYE. I had a couple bucks to spend and I thought I'd go and ask if they had any new promo CDs available similar to The Black Keys' Fever/Turn Blue CD single they put out to promote that album before it came out. They didn't have any promo singles, but they had this free compilation CD. Some promos, you have to buy or pre-order some specific thing to get, but this one, I just asked about any available promos and they gave it to me! I was just listening to the track Fat Around The Heart, and I think it sounds like some kind of Horrorcore or something. It's interesting. You can download the compilation on the Noisetrade website, but the files aren't the highest quality MP3 and the files are only numbered in the metadata, not externally...

Anywho, yeah, just wanted to share.

That's funny, I saw King 810 (the band who does Fat Around The Heart) at Mayhem Fest this year and they were by far the worst band I've ever seen live. I hadn't even heard their music at all before Mayhem but it just seemed like complete wannabe tough guy bullshit. They even had these guys in masks and bandannas holding AK47's (don't know if they were real or fake) during their entire set. If that doesn't scream excessive overcompensation, I don't know what does. It's not like I'm some old curmudgeon who hates music with screaming; I'm 20 years old and plenty familiar with tons of metal bands of basically every genre and subgenre. I grew up with Linkin Park, Slipknot, and Underoath. King 810 was just flat out bad.

Heartist is pretty good, though. I'm not terribly familiar with the other two bands on that sampler.

I know I'm quoting entirely out of context, but...
That single was available at almost any CD store/media retailer, not just FYE. I remember getting my copy at a local record store, The Sound Garden. Came with a coupon to get the full album for a dollar off.

Yeah, I know, I saw the single at FYE and Best Buy. I meant I asked FYE if FYE had any promo singles similar to what The Black Keys (or, I guess, their label) had put out, and FYE was where I bought the single.


There are 15 bands on the sampler. The ones on the black paper are just ones with releases that were coming out near the time the compilation was printed (I guess).

As far as King 810 being crap or overcompensating or whatever, opinions differ. I just listened to their stuff on Spotify and I thought it was pretty good. Maybe it could be more polished or something, but anywho, part of their public aesthetic seems to rely on the fact that they're based out of Flint, Michigan, supposedly one of the most violent cities in the USA, and the lyrical content of the music reflects that, so, I guess, just consider that.

Also of note: I'll be 33 in November and I liked their music, just sayin'...

Off-topic, I have a possible pedo on my back. /o_o; Ever since March 2014.

He's been drawing porn of me and my fictional characters (like this one; ) and I got offended by this. He snarks almost everyone else my age (or lower) because he's attracted to specifically ME... And I've been telling him some of my minor info (I'm not stupid enough to say stuff like my hometown or what I look like), and he's been talking about meeting me IRL, and...I get this feeling to change the subject every time he does. He's been getting way too unstable ever since a month ago, and ever since I (tried to) peacefully ditch him in turn for someone more likable that he hates, he posted a hate journal on deviantArt saying how I worship the person he hates, that I should fuck another one of my fictional characters (that I'm not even THAT much attracted to), and so on. And he faps to the porn me makes of me. I finally had enough and made a call-out journal of him, warning people he's a pervert and he should be blocked, and now he's trying to find my hometown and talking about raping me to another one of my more-trust-worthy friends on skype.

I legitimately got shakey for the next 30 minutes after that. What do I do about him, guys? I don't want to get raped by someone I don't even REMOTELY know IRL!

(BTW, stuff like this is kind of why some of you notice me randomly popping in/out of the local chat instead of staying on for a long-term period.)

Yeah, I understand that it appeals to a lot of people and I have no problem with that. I can see why people enjoy it, it's just really not my thing. Everything I said in that post was 100% opinion and I don't pass anything like that off as fact haha

What the hell!? Why did I find that funny enough for it to wake me up in a fit of laughter!? I guess it might have been the random placement of it and that it was said so casually, it was like, lolwut!? I'd go into detail on what I was dreaming about, but I never remember things well enough to accurately describe them, even minutes after waking up, and it's frustrating as hell! When is someone going to invent a way to record one's dreams as videos? That's something I know I'd love to have...

I experience those same things to me, also, blastlocket! I get weird dreams which I would LOVE to explain to my friends and family but ending up having a hard time describing those in detail. I once I had a dream where a random lion was shaving my mustache underwater. Nothing else

Anyway, @Cuzco, I actually had a similar story that happened to me while I was in high school. I don't wanna get too much detail, because it is a bit personal. Basically, my story was like yours but the person wasn't a "pedo" per say (I'll call him "that guy"); he targeted one of my fellow batchmates, who is a girl. That guy is also in the same batch as me, so that means that that guy and I graduated together. It got a bit ugly when said guy started drawing a naked drawing if the girl he just targeted and put it on my desk. ONCE. Not to mention, "That Guy" and the girl are in the same class together, but not me. It got a bit uglier when "That Guy" started targeting ME and my friends the whole senior year after avoiding him throughout my junior year. Okay I'm done.
TL;DR: Some batchmate of mine targeting a girl during junor year and starts going after me and my friends during my senior year.

On a music-related note, I'm looking for something. I did a search earlier for a play of the newest SDVX II song "キミヱゴサーチ / ここなつ" and found a stream of it without effects:



And then I found another song with ここなつ on it from a couple months ago, also without effects:

I'm guessing ここなつ is the artist then? I took a bit of Japanese back in high school, but never learned it very well, and these days, I understand almost nothing of it at all, and searching for anything on the internet is difficult for me. I'm wondering what all this artist has released and where to find it. If anyone can direct me to a CD shop I can bookmark, I'd be really grateful. This music sounds like something I'd definitely like to buy.

From the information I've seen there, it looks like there are only 2 songs by ここなつ, the newer of which might not have been released officially as a single yet, and I've got the first ここなつ entry on iTunes bookmarked, so I should be able to get the full versions of them eventually...

UPDATE: I managed to find digital DLs of both HinaBitter albums as 320 KBPS MP3, so these will tide me over until I'm able to get them on CD!
