Just when I thought there couldn't be much more one could do with mods in brawl, I keep on discovering new things that are just amazing. I'm inspired so much.

Finished the senior high national exam on Wednesday. For whatever twisted reason Indonesia's Minister of Education has in his head, he decided that this year's exam will have international standards written all over it. Might not be so bad, hadn't he told it on the first day of the exam, with almost no time for us to prepare whatsoever.
To us seniors, this isn't even new. When we had the exam back in junior high, we're the first to have 5 question packs. Yes, it minimizes cheating, but it also provides unfairness throughout the exam. Back in primary school, we're the first to even have a national exam. It's been an overwhelming stream of experiments and we're getting pretty fed up with it.

Kindergarten kids here have recently gotten things like the SAT and other stuff...same with other grade levels.

Wait, they have these for kindergartens? I don't really know the system there, but damn, wouldn't that stress out the kids? Kindergarten kids shouldn't be given those kinds of test, furthermore having their results put inside their permanent records or something like that. They're way too young.

Nah, it's good though. They have a whole first quarter to learn the alphabet, the numbers...then the rest to learn how to write sentences, add, subtract, learn geometry, beginning multiplication and division, as well as some history and science. Oh, if applicable, Spanish. Plenty of time. All it takes is time and effort from all needed (parents, teachers, kids).

All this in kindergarten? Definitely way more than what I got in that grade (granted, my recollection of it is limited). Addition and subtraction was never introduced till around 1st grade. Multiplication and division was (very) briefly previewed in 2nd grade with a full intro in the 3rd grade. French in my school was taught in a day on day off way, so some subjects like science were taught in French while others like Math in English. It was a great system to learn the language, but they sadly ditched it for an easier "core level" program.

My school recently started giving these computer tests this year. A lot of kids opted out, and a lot of parents don't think this whole computer testing thing is a good idea. There are major problems with it, for example, it doesn't count toward anything so a lot of people aren't even trying. Also, at least three people had computer problems during each of the four tests They also gave us TWO HOURS to answer literally six questions. Overall problematic, stressful (basically they spent a month giving us "practice tests" aka using us as lab rats to make sure the systems work) and unnecessary.

The concept on its own sounds like a good idea, but it seems to be suffering from poor execution. It sort of reminds me of this course my friend took. Course content was good, but the testing software was absolutely horrible and restrictive.
What I think would be better is if the schools began running classes to teach students about computers and their operations. Start off with basic usage and office suites. Move into basic maintenance and security and then end it with a preface to Computer Science/Information Technology. In the age of technology, this has never been a more relevant topic.

Wonderfully I think Britain is starting to take notice of this, there have been news reports of schools teaching kids programming by getting them to design simple games. It's only a start, but we're getting somewhere.

So, at exactly 12:00 AM, I searched up Yankee by Kenshi Yonezu on the US App Store... nothing.
Upon searching it on the Japanese App Store, however...
DO NOT TELL ME THIS IS ONLY ON THE JP ITUNES STORE I WILL MURDER YOU
of course there's always the possibility that it'll get released on the US store later but whatevs
also Green Day is coming out with a new album holy fish sticks
APPEND: oh cool so if it doesn't release on the US store the smallest code you can get to buy this album is a 3000 yen card I AM NOT PAYING $45 SO I CAN LISTEN TO KENSHI YONEZU

Oh look, another Green Day album of offcuts not good enough to make a proper album. We totally haven't had enough of them over the last couple years.

Well, after looking at how it took about a month for Diorama to appear on the US app store, I suppose he'll do the same thing with Yankee.

Actually, it's a compilation full of demos from the ¡Uno! ¡Dos! ¡Tré! sessions, and it was released on Record Store Day (on CD, vinyl, and cassette). T'was good. The "Baby Eyes" demo was absolute sex.
