I rarely drink soda in general, but I absolutely love the Code Red flavor for Mountain Dew. Livewire is pretty good too.

Mountain Dew Voltage is probably my favorite kind. Either that, or regular, because I haven't had it in a while.
Edit: I forgot to mention I haven't had Code Red in such a while, I don't remember what it tastes like

Livewire and Code Red Mountain Dew are my favorites. I wish they would bring back Pitch Black again, though. I loved that stuff.

I normally like to drink *diet* Fountain Mist, SodaStream's equivalent of Mountain Dew. I rarely drink canned/bottle sodas after I switched to SodaStream. Does anyone else have SodaStream?

Pitch Black was the JAM.However, I would give my left nut to have Dark Berry back in circulation.

As a Soda Connoisseur of sorts, the Pitch Black MD is one of the rarest flavor on the market...Only certain 7-11 stores have it as a Slurpee if even. Right now at Taco Bell, They have added MD Sangria Blast to their fountain drink lineup over here in Miami.//

Alright. Story/rant time.
For those not in the know, I was in a band around this time called Lunar Landings (now named Home Court Advantage). Around July, I was kicked from the band after performing only two gigs, and looking back on it now, I can admit that we weren't all that ready to perform live at all. Our originals were barely cooked through (funny how the ones I wrote were the ones they barely took the time to practice or learn at all), our covers weren't finalized (there ware literally dozens upon dozens of covers that we were planning on doing, and rather than take the time to sort them out, the rest of the group tried to learn all of them "just because"), and our mindset just wasn't right (admittedly, I've never taken the stage before and I wasn't used to being the lead; in fact, I had a large panic attack during our second gig which almost knocked me out of commission. Needless to say, I wasn't ready). They kicked me out by having the drummer, my friend Tom, message me over Facebook. Fun. On top of all that, they never publicly acknowledged my leave. On top of that, they found a replacement for me the very next day.
Jump to today. I'm in the process of writing and recording new material for my upcoming release, No Cure For Meteors; they've finished work on a 7 song EP. I've tried to keep my separate ways with them, trying to form my own identity with my own abilities. Tom linked to some Facebook event for the venue of their next gig, as well as a webpage where you could listen to some of the songs on their EP, which I will not link to. Among the songs was a song that was oddly familiar to me. A song titled "Goodbye 315"; a song I co-wrote the lyrics for, as well as the backing vocal melody/chorus guitar for. That struck me as odd. When I talked to Tom a month ago, he told me that all of the songs we all worked on were scrapped. All of the work they did with me was thrown out, to start anew. Seeing this song there made me puzzled, but also made me very happy. Maybe they were finally acknowledging my existence in the band. Maybe this was their tribute to me or some stupid, utterly naive shit like that.
So I check to see if they give me credit for my parts, and nope. My name wasn't mentioned anywhere in the credits. I thought it was a fluke at first; maybe they forgot, or maybe the credit will be given in the inner packaging of the EP. So I listened to the track... And as I listened to the track, my jaw... dropped... to the floor... eyes staring vacantly at the screen.... body feeling drained and numb... I couldn't believe what I was hearing. I honest-to-God could not believe what I was hearing. They removed all of the things I wrote and crafted for the song (save for the chorus guitar melody). Just so they didn't have to credit me for what I've done... on what was 40% my song anyway. They completely disregarded my work in the band just so they could save face. So they could save a little extra cash money. To save... To save... I couldn't believe it. I was Benoit-ed. Erased from history, never to be spoken about again.
NEEDLESS TO SAY, I'M A LITTLE BIT FUCKING FURIOUS RIGHT NOW.

I was going to respond to this earlier but I forgot to...
Well, you've now had first-hand experience on what it's like to be in a band. Or rather, what it's like to be kicked out of a band by self-righteous and thieving assholes. There's this one local band who have been gaining some steam called Breathe The Skyline who were the same way. They play metalcore that just shamelessly rips off other bands, but all the kids in the Albany hardcore scene seem to go crazy over them. But here's where it gets stupid: they originally were called Upon Shattered Skies, and the name came from their now ex-keyboard player named Dave who was actually the main founding member of the band. (he was never replaced, because KEYBOARDZ WON'T FIT INTO OUR BR00T4L EMMURE RIP OFF SONGS!) He ended up getting kicked out of his own band because their "screamer" (whose name is Erik) at the time was a total dick, and basically wanted to take the credit for himself. A good friend of mine who played bass for them for a short amount of time was a witness to this, and he also heard from other members first-hand that the point of the band was to rip off Asking Alexandria, who were the "in band" in the scene at the time. So, once they kicked Dave out, they changed the name, hired another vocalist named Mike (who is actually extremely talented and probably one of the best things about the band, along with their drummer, Drew), and started writing more songs. It wouldn't have been an issue if they didn't decide to lazily re-record the one song they did while Dave was in the band while not changing the lyrics that he wrote. Of course, they ended up removing any trace of Asking Alexandria/Attack Attack influence and just replaced everything with bad breakdowns like their new favorite band, Emmure. The fact of the matter is that it was still his song that they were using, and he was not given any sort of credit for it, at all. And they act like he was never in the band, even though he's the reason they're even a band at all.
Since then, they've gone on to be "successful" in the scene, and by that, I mean only really playing shows at the local hardcore club called Bogies most of the time and occasionally playing out of city or out of state shows.

This isn't the first time I've been kicked out of a band. I was kicked out of another band two years prior (at least they had some logical reasons for kicking me out) and they disintegrated shortly thereafter because, and I quote, they "couldn't find someone who could properly replace" me. At least that experience left me with a self-esteem boost.

I've never personally been in a band (no music talent*, wassup) but the entire thing just seems so shitty a lot of the time.
*I taught myself how to scream properly, just to see if I could even do it (I did manage to get it down), but I have the worst stage fright, and I hate hearing my own voice over loud speakers, so it's not like it'll be useful.
APPEND: To be perfectly honest, I've become pretty disillusioned with the local music scene. Literally everyone is completely negative about everything 100% of the time and it gets to me. Every single local show has at least a few people saying things like "yo I'm only going for <band x>, I'm gonna beat up everyone who likes <band y, who is usually the headliner>". Because people liking a different band than you is totally a legitimate reason to be violent towards another person. The sad thing is that it actually happens all the time. It's literally the same 3 or 4 people at every single show (who also always dress the same) starting fights in the mosh pits over petty things like that. The whole mentality of treating musical taste like a dick measuring contest is just aggravating.
I've actually lost count of the times I've heard those same people hurling uncalled for homophobic insults at people wearing shirts of bands like Black Veil Brides. BVB isn't my thing personally, but I'm not going to start fights with people over it, because frankly I couldn't give less of a damn about what other people listen to. If they enjoy it, great. If it's not your thing, then go find something else you do enjoy. No one is forcing you to like it.

March Madness-Style Bracket Rates High School Girls - ABC News
A typical classy thing done by kids at an Upstate NY high school. I live like 10 minutes from Latham/the Shaker district (didn't go there though) and I'm not even remotely surprised that this happened, because kids from every local high school do dumb things like this.

I started playing Civilization Revolution lately.
I'm currently playing as the English. Dover is approximately five times the size of London and is currently the greatest city in the world, Oxford is a production mecca almost entirely devoted to producing Lancaster bomber planes, Newcastle is a tiny little burg out in the arctic, and I am now engaged in a war of attrition with Abraham Lincoln for Miami.

This one's too easy to do (replacing the in-game tunes from the jukebox with custom tracks) compared to model making and mapping in the Source Engine.
On a side-note, Superman and Police Truck never got a copyright claim, but Here and Now... well, check this out:

Released a new compilation as well as a new song because I'm a lazy, procrastinating bastard who will never get No Cure For Meteors done in this lifetime.
Also, my last three releases have had a basketball on the front cover in some way, shape or form. At least I'm consistent, I guess.

Hey, if this guy can plug his music here then I might as well. Project 715 is my fifth release, and you can probably check out some of my other stuff there in the bandcamp page or on my SoundCloud page, where I keep all my demos, prereleases, miscellaneous tracks and whatnot.
