DJMAX Clazziquai and Black Square and DJMAX FEVER

The new PSP installment of the DJMAX series is about to be released. There will be two versions: Clazziquai and Black Square. Now, you're probably all wondering what's the difference between these two games? Well, Clazziquai is a stain to the DJMAX name as the song list is chuck full of K-POP garbage, probably crap like Epik High and other hits like that. It's watered down too in terms of gameplay. Black Square (even though it's not a damn square, it's a cube) on the other hand is the true DJMAXP3. It will be filled with all the great stuff we are used to seeing in the previous DJMAXs. Get your bandages ready because those thumbs'll be blistered in no time.



DJMAX FEVER is an international release of DJMAXP2, with some extras I believe.

Good thing they still have the sexy characters.

DJMAX Technika Trailer

DJMAX Technika is an Asia only DJMAX arcade game that utilizes a multi-touch screen interface, you won't be seeing this in the EU or the states. Too bad : The link also has the other trailers in the "Related Videos" section.

I'll probably be getting the former two. Clazziquai only because Black Square gets extras if you link disk with Clazziquai.

I have DJMAXP and DJMAXP2. Yes, I bought both of the limited-collector's edition. I'm just not bothering to buy a physical copy of Clazziquai because it sucks (seriously, K-Pop garbage). Well Black Square isn't coming out. Too bad, I guess I'll just play some Technika when I go back to Asia during the winter break. I was going to go pre-order it too. Oh well, blame the Chinese piraters. We don't distribute.

I ordered the collector's edition of Clazziquai, might get Black Square later on. Personally I thought DJMP2 was way too hard for my tastes, not to mention locking off most songs from you unless you a) played 6B or 8B and b) played a heck of a lot of fantastic runs through in those modes. Poor game design, in my opinion.

Also, realize that some of us actually like K-Pop. Clazziquai is one of my favorite bands, so this was a must-purchase for me.

It's not my gripe about the music (well kinda), just that the game was way to easy. I've been playing since DJMP1 so I'm used to the thumb-snapping game play of 6B/8B modes of the games. Clazziquai's relaxed play was a big let-down for me. If that makes any sense.

I guess, just unlocking pretty much anything in DJMP2 was darn near impossible unless you were good at 6B, and quite a bit either required playing 8B or just playing the game forever...

I've gotten pretty good at 5B, and decent enough at 6B, but the progression system of DJMP2 was just exasperating to the point of disbelief.

DJ Max Fever is so close to coming out I'm freaking out! I might get DJ Max Black Sqaure or Portable 2 later on this year, I hope

DJ Max Fever I don't think will die as fast as Beatmania, because I realy don't remember Konami showing previews for Beatmania IIDX in the USA. Atleast DJ MAX they showed a sneak preview of the game. And they even said that its going to be its own game, which I think will be a great idea. I hope we get tons of good songs. I already like alot of songs

Hey AnxD, DJ MAX Technika is testing in the US in a couple of arcades in the california area. It might happen. An arcade near me in New Jersey also might be getting a location test as well, so don't count Technika out for the US just yet.
