If anyone's interested, Al2k4's been kind enough to grant me a category for my series of pop'n music simfiles here on ZIV.
I'll be working on getting all of the ones available on Mantis' s site uploaded along with some others that I've touched up a bit.
I'll also be working on touching up the others by improving the steps and graphics and even ading doubles to some of them.
I'll also be including courses with a few of them. Anyway, please leave any feedback here.
You can get the simfiles here

I really have a hard time understanding your fixation with pop'n. I think the worst part of the game is the music, so far most of the music I've heard (from your simfiles) have been awful with a few that were half-decent. Do you just have fond memories of Japan and playing this game? Was there some hot Japanese woman whom you played with (lol) and everytime you play pop'n games you are reminded of her, to the point where the only music you listen to is from the game and every simfile you make must be from pop'n, should I dare ask you what is in your iPod library? Okay my rant is over, but what's the deal Ray?

Yes, part of it is fond memroies of Japan and the rest is probably just me being a big fan of pop'n music. I just one day started trying to make simfile immitatting the ones from pop'n music (with the characters in the graphics) and got hooked on it.As for your question about my ipod, I actually don't listen to alot of pop'n music tunes on there. I usually go between metal, trance/house, 80s hip-hop/R&B, and smooth jazz on there.

Thanks! I hope you enjoy them and there will be plenty of simfiles to help you familiarise yourself with the game in a while here.Post #5 · Posted at 2008-10-20 12:02:12pm 15.5 years ago

This may sound mind-boggling, but there are people have different tastes in music than you and may very well like songs from Pop'n....I know, I was shocked, too.

pop'n sucks
No it doesn't. Believe me, there are plenty of awesome songs on there, but overall, the music doesn't suck, it's just not as good as the music from DDR and IIDX.

Pop'n music is great IMO and I can't wait to try some of these simfiles. Just discovered HI-TEN K-MIX yesterday from pop'n 9 and I haven't stopped listening to it since. Pop'n is also good because the music is just so diverse. Some examples are CLASSIC, GOA TRANCE, MONGOL (which I'm sure many DDR fans would recognize), SPECIAL COOKING (which is on DDR Universe 3), and NATURE.
EDIT: realized no one but me uses the pop'n genres to identify songs.
CLASSIC: Okay, this is more of a series.
GOA TRANCE: IMPLANTATION / Tomosuke
MONGOL: The Irritable Great White Horse (Tino's White Horse) / Morning Blue Dragon
SPECIAL COOKING: 100sec. Kitchen Battle!! / Orange Lounge
NATURE: forest song / MIKI CHANG + world sequence
HI-TEN K-MIX: Occhi due tu so / Ahn Sungyoon

I actually used to tag my pop'n simfiles with the genre names (the folders, mp3s, etc..), but I got away from doing that because it was confusing for those who weren't familar with pop'n music. Anyway, I hope you enjoy the files! I'm trying to update these daily with ones that I'm happy with. Once those are uploaded, I'll start working on fixing up the other ones and making some brand new ones! btw, does anyone know the proper romanji name for Ninja Heroine from pop'n music 12?EDIT: realized no one but me uses the pop'n genres to identify songs.

Thanks for the comments, everyone! I'll look into Nadeshiko rock and I'll get that zip of Zeta fixed.
EDIT: Zeta is fixed, along with several others that had corrupt zips. All the files should be downloadable now.
12/6/2008
I've added four more simfiles, including one brand new one (FAKE) and one that hasn't been publically released, aside from it's appearance in ddrevolved's anything goes pack from a while back (infinite space).

Merry Christmas! I've added 4 more songs, including two Christmassy ones! (White Lovers (Remix) by Sana and
Jingle Bells by School, both from the pop'n music X-Mas artists album)
Also, I've started on Nadeshiko Rock, so that should be available soon, along with a few others.
Sorry for the super necro bump, but I've finally gotten around to adding some new simfiles and updated some older ones with newer graphics (featuring shiny pop'n vectors), so check em out and leave a comment or two. I'm going to try and get all of my pop'n simfiles touched up and uploaded here. (I currently have approimately half of them uploaded here at the moment).
Just updated North Wind and added Yolcu Mustafa and Over The Rainbow.
4 more simfiles added (Angel Fish, April Fool No Uta, Cut Off A Corner and Denpasar, all with new graphics) and Half Moon De Aimashou is updated with new graphics.
