I'm a big fan of A Rocket To The Moon and Owl City, I'm not exactly sure what genre they'd fit under but I think that it fits what you're looking for. lemme know if you like 'em!
EDIT: You also might wanna check out hellogoodbye...some of their songs have got some voice effects

Oh man, I can't pass up this offer.Armin van Buuren
BT (not so much trance...just a bunch of soundtrack sort of stuff)
Paul van Dyke
The only decent trance artists I can think of. I never liked trance too much.
Also "techno" is pretty vague genre.

Darude only because he's really mainstream. Dj Tiesto for trance/techno. Also, depends on what kind of pop music you are looking for. Maybe Blümchen if you are into vocal happy hardcore.

Needs some Goldenscan, Ferry Corsten, Ramon Zenker, VooDoo&Serano, Above and Beyond, Svenson&Gielen, and Moogwai for Trance.
For "techno" you can look into some harder stuff like Technorch, t+pazolite, RedALiCE. Also, breakcore is good stuff: get Aphex Twin and Venetian Snares for that. You can also look into Telefon tel Aviv and .edIT.
The only thing I could recommend for pop is Bjork and Shiina Ringo.
"Soft rock?" uhhh well I could give you post-rock or shoegaze.. get Mono, GY!BE, and My Bloody Valentine.

one hit wonder...and if we were going into happy hardcore, I would be able to recommend a much larger list.

For Soft Rock, look into Bryan Adams. Lovely music, and very mellow
(Would he be labeled as soft rock?)

Ooooooo +5 *drool*
Well some good technoish stuff I can think of is The Crystal Method and Fluke.
But my personal favorite music that has a TON of technoish type stuff, cool voice effects, and some soft rock is by my favorite music group, which I constantly mention around here...
Stuff from the Year Zero album would especially fit what you are looking for.
Some good ones you may enjoy

The new kanye west song would fit nicely into the pop category... It's called love lockdown and is stupidly heavy on the vocoder
Also try and find Synthesised - Symbion Project, It's on amplitude but he did once upon a time have it available for free download from his website which I can't remember the url for at this time.
If I think of any more I'll let you know

Also look into Nevarakka for trance and techno. His work is pretty good.
Not sure if you want downloads links or not but try last.fm. You get to listen to the songs for FREE!! That's where I found the original version of Why by Nevarakka.

Alright I uped your rating +5 for everyone on the page, because you gave me such wonderful songs.
Oh yeah if it doesn't seem like your rating went up, its because I already gave you 5+ rating in the past.
I do love all of the artists that you gave me, I like Scott Brown the most, and yes I do love Happy Hardcore songs.

I recommend Paul Oakenfold and BT. Ferry Corsten's not bad, either. Not sure if trip-hop is your thing, but if so, I suggest Tricky. You should probably look up some videos of his on YouTube and see if you like that sort of thing. Evolution Revolution Love has been one of my favorite songs for years.
But yeah, look this guy's stuff up. If you can find his site, make sure you grab FreQOut (2004 Mix). Some of my favorite songs of his from FreQuency and Amplitude include Spaztik, Synthesized, and Funky Dope Manuever...but I seem to be alone on that last one. You can find the soundtracks for those games at Galbadia Hotel (if/when they get the site running again).

I don't remember the new site's URL, but didn't he leave a giant button linking to his new site on his old one at symbionproject.com?But yeah, look this guy's stuff up.
