Just consider this...
You get all 111 songs on it. However, you will get all songs featured in NA DDR Games all the way until X that were included in Extreme, which means you'll only get around 15 new songs...
With that said, would you still buy Extreme? I think I would because I only have MAX 2 and Extreme 2, and I don't import

i wont play that hypothetical game of "if you didnt have the japanese version", its just dumb. its like saying "if you didnt own the japanese dreamcast capcom vs snk 2, would you get the US PS2 version of the exact same game".
the answer is pretty freaking obvious if i bought the japanese version, so no more stupid questions please. obviously i like the game, thats why i went through the trouble of importing and modding.

The poster above said no he wouldn't becuase he had the Japanese one. IF, no one had the Japanese one, maybe they'd say no because they already had most of the songs on the other game.
OR they'd say yes because "It would still be a good game, REGARDLESS of if it had old songs."
So stop trying to act all smart by saying I'm making a "hypothetical game". And It's not "freaking obvious" because perhaps, like I said before, you wouldn't want to buy the game if it re-released now becuase it would pointless, seeing we have most of the songs. Who knows? Maybe you bought the game when it released or you bought it recently, I don't know, but stop trying to make me sound like an idiot.

the answer is pretty obvious as to what someone would do in that case if they liked extreme JP enough to buy it. dont blame me because you havnt moved past the regular game mode, regardless of whether or not we have most of the songs, aoi shodou, hyper eurobeat, brilliant 2u orchestra groove, memories, burnin' the floor momo mix is one of my all time favorite courses(i <3 naoki neo standard), and the rest of the oni courses are top notch, not the crap we get now. same for the non-stop courses, they are actually good, and not the same as the oni courses like the crap we get now. it has a metric ton of background dancers as well, which everyone loves, and the BG movies are actually movies for all the songs instead of the generic BG, unlike the crap we get now. also, you can set up like 4 or 5 dancers, so you dont just have to pick one and you dont have to play 2 player to see multiple dancers(and even in the new games, it took them several tries to figure out that one dancer is dumb).
if you want to buy a game JUST for the songs and ignore the other modes then fine, but i guarantee that most people who are into the series enough to import extreme JP play it for more than just songs. hell, i dont even play the arcade version for just the songs, i play oni mode all the time. years later, oni mode has kept extreme AC live for me, as i get bored playing standard singles quickly on that particular game now.

Damn, I'm gonna feel stupid for saying this, but I would buy it for the songs. Mostly because I like to edit songs. And since I don't know how edit mode is for JP, I'm assuming that it has the same features MAX/MAX2.
