Now I'm wondering if Universe 3 will be posted this quickly. Surprised
I'm more interested in Hottest Party JPN...I'd like to at least try Double Tornard...

The heavy steps for it have been posted to the site... all of the HP JP songs have at least one chart posted up (although, I'd like to finish them if anyone could get the game or find videos of the missing charts...)

I'll work on HP1 JP when I finish DSU1/DSU2 and possibly DDRU3.

What's the deal with Tribulations Heavy? Why do the arrows keep going after the song stops?

I also finished synching this pack this morning, if anyone wants it just ask.

I screwed up and accidentally repeated measure 7. Thanks for catching that.
So, where it goes

1000
0000
0000
0100
0010
0100
1001
0000
,
1000
0000
0000
0100
0010
0100
1001
0000

Delete the second measure. Measure 8 should be this:
1000
0100
0010
0001

Fix it in your synced pack, and could someone who can upload get that synced pack and upload it?

Here it is, synched and stepped HP2 files.
http://www.yousendit.com/download/Y2o5SXQxSWhQb0t4dnc9PQ

A couple of warnings:
These are .dwi files
I slightly modify the sample start and lengths (I don't believe anyone finds the values to 3 sig figs anyways)
.dwi files are not standardized (no #FILE: tag)
I remove the #DISPLAYBPM: for files that purposely follow HP2 values and give an erroneous BPM value (I would rather have the true BPM shown than a Konami error)

You can trust the steps are accurate and the sync is accurate (based on the Standardized GAP/OFFSET value). So if you wanted to use these in the official release, consider only copying over the sync.

We can't; official release was SM only AFAIK so the DWI offset values won't help here.

The DWI offset values will help, because it's dirt simple to convert a dwi to a sm. Just open the dwi in Stepmania, save, and you'll get an sm. It's just a bit time consuming to do it for all the files, but well worth at as his stuff is better synced.

Oh, I realize that, it's just a complete pain in the ass to have to do it for a large block of songs.

It's not that hard, actually. Just select the course for the HP2 folder and press a button that affects the sync after you start playing. When it asks you if you want to save these changes, say yes and it will save as .sm and .dwi (you can fail or exit the course and it will still ask you).

I've heard that sync varies on different computers, so maybe it's almost perfect on his, but yours is different.

However, I could be talking crap.

The custom songs that he's synced have seemed perfect to me, so if Oni-91 is right, I'll expect your (Brazen) sync to be off when I play the Uni3 simfiles.
Sync does vary between computers, but that's what stepmania's global offset is supposed to adjust for.

Just for simplicities sake, can someone up a test file that we all should sync up to so that way everyone's in sync. Just as long the file isn't made by anyone here and we'll see who's files are more on sync with the test file.

Exactly as he said in the thread, this is the standard that SM 4 syncs to if you go into options and pick the option to configure the audio sync. That's what I did.

I simply meant that if you synced songs with a global offset that is slightly off, then they would be off for people who have a correctly set global offset.
No need to overreact at the mere suggestion that you or him has an incorrectly set global offset, which would explain why you think his sync sucks, and he thinks it's perfect.

You do realise that from around October time, Brazen has put an awful lot of hard work into doing Universe 3, complete with graphics, correct sample starts/lengths, background vids, syncing, live BPMs... the works. (Including a straight 39-hour marathon to try and get the lot done quicker)

Speaking of syncing, we tested Dirty Digital on an ITG2 upgrade and it turns out to be spot-on. (Same syncing as Typical Tropical which to our knowledge is perfect on all ITG2 revisions.)
Sure, one might complain about syncing and other imperfections, but at the end of the day be thankful that you've even got decent DDRU3 simfiles in the first place.
