Graphics Artwork Thread (56k warning)

Wah! My banner skills are inferior to the ones that are currently here!

I will post up some later, and ones that will be on my next simfile mix.

I figured I would share some graphics that I did. These are all new graphics for some of the DDR CLUB VERSION songs that I'm doing for the beatmaniaIIDX Pad Pack. I'll just post the banners to save up space. Also, I didn't post these, but to pay homage to the original banners from DDR CLUB VERSION, the CLUB ANOTHER/CLUB 2P Versions are the same, but colored differently.

Those are pretty nice. A couple suggestions:

1) Some of the colors clash and are hard on the eyes. Be careful when you pick colors so that they are cool to look at. (Ones that are particularly hard to look at are Diving Money, Gradiusic Cyber, and Beginning of Life).

2) Use a little variety! Most of your text is done the same way; you make a color of text (usually white) and then make two drop shadows, with one of them being black normally.

3) Since you seem to love making graphics, try grabbing GIMP from the internet. Google it. It's free under the GNU license, and is easy to pick up and extremely powerful once you learn how to use it. Consider my above banners as samples.

Other than that, keep trying! I'm sure you can start making some really cool graphics before long!

I see what your saying. The text looks like that because I've been doing that for so long. I use Deep Paint, so I can only do so much with the graphics that I make. But thanks for the suggestions! And I'm glad you think they're nice. I'll give GIMP a try.
