What do you think a 20 in DDR X will be like?

With existing songs only going up to 18(FELM oni), What do you think a 20 on DDR X will be like? An ITG 13? FELM oni with shock arrows? This?

Well to tell you the truth, i DON'T want to see a 20...but at the same time, i will be fascinated to see a full 20 on DDR X...

it's amazing that FELM is just an 18 footer...i have this feeling that IF you play the 20 footer song, they will have a WARNING banner RIGHT before you play it LOL

I want a 20. It would feel so empty if there wasn't a song that filled up the scale.

I don't know if I would like it or ever play it for anything other than a challenge but it should still be there.

On X, there's probably gonna be 2 19's and a 20 or something...

I do expect a level 20 (no more foot ratings since SN2) on DDR X. All I ask is that it really be a 20,
not the exaggeration that the 10 footers were (I thought there were ten footers and then the flashing
ten footers, if so, why bump down sakura if all the newer boss songs were flashing ten footers on
some difficulties).

In other words rate something a 20 (or a19 or 18), when it deserves that rating, not because it's a boss song. And give licensed songs the chance to be given higher ratings (I could say that Cartoon Heroes
deserved a ten and give Super Samurai an 8) when they deserve it.

As to the question on hand, I'm expecting a new boss song will take that spot. I don't think it feels
right to give that rating to a paranoia remix (or a max remix, but i could be persuaded). If 2MB
composes the level 20 song, odds are, it is hard, confusing, fast, a fat-burner, complicated and advanced. In other words, it is a very stupid, horrendous, atrocious, suck-fest, "any negative thing you can name" song.

Sorry for the wave of obscenities, but I've seen IIDX/O2Jam charts and played stepmania simfiles
which irritated me to no end on an hourly basis.

Sakura got bumped down to a 9 because it's not any harder than Dynamite Rave .
Cartoon Heroes is not even near a 10. I was getting an A on that long before I even passed PS or Max 300. Unless you're saying that they should have made a harder chart for it, in which case, it's a matter of opinion. Current chart is really as hard as the song justifies.

Sorry, I was actually not in the best of my moods when I wrote that (and i still am not, though I'm
feeling better).

What was the whole purpose of introducing the flashing ten rating. It gave them a chance to give songs
which are especially hard to be one step above the hard songs (translation: boss songs), not because
when the next mix comes up, they'll promote ten footers to flashing ten footers only to get bopped down on SN2.

And yeah, even the ten footer rating was almost exclusive for boss songs (except on some songs
which used such gimmicks)
sakura-speed change a few milliseconds before an arrow and the ending.
bag-bad rhythm and beat, slow bpm remedied by speed mods.

I'm just hoping the ratings will be a fair AND unbiased on DDR X. and I'm still waiting for that
level 20 song that knox ur sox off due to cliche speed changes, bad steps and possibly music.

I'm getting too angry, I'm gonna beat all this anger out of me on HDV on stepmania (the way I smash
my keyboard on the part with a lot of jumps really calms me down).

EDIT: I haven't tested out cartoon heroes yet, but super samurai is just a fairly standard song to me.
I feel... and insertion tire me more easily (dancing on stepmania without a dance pad).

Seriously what's the point of putting 6 boss songs if the steps are horrible. Put all your effort into ONE REAL boss song.

For someone who hasn't touched a machine since 3rd mix, you get pretty beside yourself about the whole thing...

Flashing 10s are not sufficient to distinct between the various degrees of 10s that are out there. Flashing 7s were not NEEEEEAAAAARRRLLLLY enough to distinct between all those difficulty levels in IIDX. 20s are not only meant to give different 10s their rightful level of difficulties, but to also do the same to the other difficulty levels.

Let's take a look at 9s, for example:

Brilliant R・E・D (12 on the new scale)
Healing Vision Angelic Mix (13 on the new scale)
Unreal/NGO heavy (14 on the new scale).

These were all rated 9s on SN2, but their degrees of difficulties were pretty wide. The new scale makes definite distinctions between them.
