In The Groove Rebirth is finally released!

PLEASE NOTE:

Included in the .zip is a BGAnimations folder containing .ini files for "flash"es. These don't come "out of the box" for any Stepmania build (except mDaWg's ITGPC), and the absence of these .ini files is what usually makes the BGscripts cause Stepmania to crash. Just overwrite your (probably empty) BGAnimations folder with the one in the .zip, and the scripts ought to run just fine.

Also in the .zip are two more folders, BackgroundTransitions and BackgroundEffects. These folders and their contents usually DO come "out of the box" of your average SM build, but it's still recommended you overwrite your folders with these, just in case.


This download does NOT include the custom Rebirth theme, but it will be released in the future.

If anyone has any alternate mirrors available for us to upload the project to, we would greatly appreciate it.

Few questions though.

1) Do the charts have rolls in them? Not sure how SM 3.9 would handle them.

2) What's the "insane song" on this pack?

1) If this has the same "Tears In May" chart that was in a preview pack, yes. SM 3.9 will crash.

I will start this downloading as soon as I get home. Probably just tell SM to load the songs as extra song folders though.

Yes, songs do have rolls. And they are used much more freely than official ITG

It's as official as you're going to get with ITG. It will be up on Groovestats in hopefully about 2 weeks.

Yeah, it's basically something you throw into your Stepmania. There's no EXE file.

We are still looking for mirrors. We will hopefully have one up later tonight.

And don't forget the custom marathons, survivals, and RandomMovies. I highly suggest that everyone downloads SM 3.95 or OpenITG to play the content from this project.

As for SM versions, why hasn't anyone mentioned the SM4 CVS line (or SVN)? Is there some particular reason why it shouldn't be used, given that I don't particularly care* about the background videos?

(*no offense; I am still a bit of a n00b in terms of actual DDR/ITG skills, but this pack is still undoubtedly worthwhile. Will d/l ASAP)

eighty5cacao: I'm actually using that line, hence why I'm just going to add the folder to the "AdditionalSongFolders" line. Same as I did for Max3. I don't particularly care about bg videos either.

I got to 90% or so and then the host went down for a minute.

Is it necessary to put this gigantic file in one piece? Now I have to start all over.

For one mirror, we are currently uploading the project into 5 different parts, and it should be ready for tomorrow.

We will have another mirror, but it will still be one big file (but it will be a more reliable host)
