awesome! i hope there will be a test location in Canada!Big Grin
and i also have to agree the unlock system makes everything boring! especially for people who are awaiting Pluto Relinquish and Pluto too

I'd laugh if there was one in Ottowa, and one in Winnipeg, then we'd both be able to play it!

really, i would be happy if we at least got a test location in Canada! It's always in the US. It always gets annoying that Canada never gets test locations for DDR! Can they at least put one somewhere in Canada!?(Specifically in Ottawa)

Nah, I didn't ask that. It's hard to believe this would be an EU-only deal though.

I think it could be. After all, we haven't had a sniff of SN2 yet. Anyway, here's what I'm hoping for:

- SN1 style release: we all get it at around the same time. Not Japan, then US yonks later, then EU never.
- Either use e-Amuse all around the world for unlocks, or don't use it. Better still, put in machine unlocks, so the people sans e-Amuse aren't left out.
- Moar Yuni.

DDR will more than likely jump on the bandwagon with the BemaniPC hardware.
I'd rather this wasn't just SN2 with a new name. A new interface and set of songs would be nice, so we don't end up falling even further behind.

Although this could even be Konami starting to give EU regular arcade releases again, to catch up to Japan every few CS games.

"OMG KON!"
for some reason if there is a test location I fell like like it wont test at Naperville. I dont know why, but I do.

If it does test though, I am sure it will have multiple locations like last time.

I believe this release will be Global. (10 Anniversary)

DDR X (working title i guess)

EU will be missed out SN2 & get DDR X instead, on track with JP/US (Global)

That's what i've been thinking.

This is all going pretty much as I predicted earlier... SN2 AC comes out, SN2 CS comes out, another CS DDR comes out on the PS2, then they release a new AC hardware on a new platform.

Either I'm psychic, lucky, or able to see the blindingly obvious, one or the other Smile

"Ready!?"
I really hope not and that the SN2 gets full unlocks because it seems AI doesn't have the money for any new machines aside from the GFDM and IIDX machines. ;__;

"jubeat knit one, purl two"
For me, there's a SuperNOVA down the street, two Extremes in movie theaters, an ITG2 on the other side of town (which sucks, BTW), and a PIU. There's no IIDX, GFDM, pop'n, etc. in the ENTIRE STATE.

There have been some speculation around the Internet about the next DDR for the arcade, so I have contacted the distributor for Dancing Stage within the EU and they said that a new game, name to be confirmed, is indeed in the works and is due for release either late 2008 or early 2009. They have also mentioned that tests will occur in the following months but no idea where yet. They have also said that this release will be a "nice release", seeing as this year is DDR's tenth anniversary.

We can only speculate if this will mean location tests in Japan will also occur at around the same time. Keep your eyes on the KONAMI Japan arcade page! And European players, please keep a constant lookout in your local arcades the following months for unannounced location tests and keep us updated.

Discuss the next DDR here, as there's been rumours and news flying about recently.

I just want to know where you get that news about this upcoming DDR Arcade machine?

At least it finally seems like Konami are actually doing something about the Dancing Stage hardware debacle. Shame they couldn't actually tell us they are doing something to sort it out and not to worry that there could be no more Dancing Stage arcade machines.

Also what's with this rumour I heard on Bemanistyle that Konami are dropping the 'Dancing Stage' name for Europe and making 'Dance Dance Revolution' the universal title?

"Secret Agent"
Sounds good if "Dancing Stage" word change into "Dance Dance Revolution".

I'm sure Konami will provide hardware upgrade kits for existing cabinets -- such as the Extreme to SuperNOVA upgrade kits.
