uhh.. so does anyone play?

I have 3 of the KBM series, but I can't actually play... it's too hard... I was gonna learn IIDX first and then go to KeyboardMania.

Anyone else here actually play? I may actually start on it if I get motivated.

I've played it. i have all the home versions(2), it's pretty good, but it has a steeper learning curve than beatmania. i can complete a few songs on real mode but i try to stay on light+ mode. overall, i like it. and since konami no longer sponsors or makes it, it's even better and rarer and harder to get. you can still get all the home versions and keyboard controller at toysnjoys.com, but if you want something less difficult, i say stick to beatmania. but overall, keyboardmania is a pretty good game, little harder but still good.

I saw it for sale at a pseudo game store type... thing but it was too expensive. It looks a tad too hard though... like, "I'd rather just learn how to play real keyboard than play this..." hard.

What kind of songs are on it? Other than Frozen Ray.

There was also Pink Rose which also was on DDR; Ride On The Light (the original mix), a version of Fur Elise as a hidden stage or something like that and some others I can't remember.

The first game sucked. If anything, buy KBM 2. It's better, has a cleaner interface and has a better songlist. The game, however is really not for beginners. It has a steeper learning curve than beatmania and if your not really good at the piano, playing the notes correctly is gonna be hard, seeing as you have to constantly stretch your hands back and forth all over the keyboard to reach to hit different notes as they fall. If your into beatmania, you'll immediately recognize the gameplay. Notes fall from the top of the screen and you hit them to the beat of the music when they reach the red line at the bottom of the screen. when blue notes appear, hit the black keys, and when white notes appear, hot the white keys. You get the idea.

I've been practicing and the best I've done was got a SS on Carezza (Light+) one handed.

What I don't know how to unlock is that gymnopedie (skip over MIX) song from KBM 1stMIX.

Just received KBM 2nd/3rd yesturday and unlocked most of Light+ mode. Game is fantastic, alot more polished then the first game and alot more difficult aswell. Light+ is alot more fun aswell, alot of great charts, sun beam was a very suprising and fun chart, love playing it now =)

Going to keep practising though, the real charts looks amazingly tough.

Its strange I can unlock this song on Normal, but the only song I cannot unlock on Real whilst track 22 and 24 are locked for Normal, Ive heard theories about how to get them but still there not 100% proof to work.

Recent accomplishment, Cleared a few 4 faces on 1st mix, Mighty guy comes to mind.

I have no idea how people can play this game. I was trying my best with KM even before I started playing IIDX. All I could do was clear Airflow, Pink Rose and the Keyboard Ending theme (or opening?). Even songs I can play on the piano with both hands I failed horribly.

I might give it another try later
