This is my idea for the next AC release of DDR after SN2. I posted the prototype of this list about two months ago in the "DDR SN3 Idea" thread, but I've improved it a LOT since then, and I think that it's for the most part finished. Lol just I don't look like a person who obsesses over non-existant DDR games, I did NOT type this entire beast up all at once, but I actually started it way back in September or so and just added little by little to it every few days. I might still add to it if stuff comes to me (what can I say? I like to write down ideas lol). As one person humorously called it, yes, this is basically my christmas list to konami lmao.

Anyway, lemme know what you think of it. Or what you think I should add if you like it. Tongue

...Or feel free to yell at me for spamming this forum with garbage. Laughing Out Loud

Dance Dance Revolution BlackHOLE

The game would have an overal indigo and black interface. The songwheel screen has a abstract swirling blackhole in the background. The difficulty rating has been extended to include 11 and 12 difficulty. As a result, the game contains many more 10's than previous mixes, now has several 11's and even a few 12's. Therefore it has by far the highest overall difficulty of any DDR mix so far, and sets the way for DDR being harder in the future. It also fixes the inflated 10 problem that DDR's been having lately.

Songs that have been re-rated:

9 to 10:
Arrabiatta (Expert)
NGO (Expert)
PARANOiA (HADES) (Expert)

10 to 9:
Uranus (Challenge)

10 to 11:
PARANOiA Survivor MAX (Expert)
NGO (Challenge)
MAX 300 (Super Max Me Mix) (Challenge)
Fascination ~eternal love mix~ (Expert)
CHAOS (Challenge)
DEAD END (GROOVE RADAR special)
Pluto Relinquish (Expert)
MAX. (period) (Expert) (Challenge steps from EXTREME CS)

10 to 12:
PARANOiA Survivor MAX (Challenge)
Healing-D-Vision (Challenge)
Fascination ~eternal love mix~ (Challenge)
Fascination MAXX (Expert)
Fascination MAXX (Challenge)
PARANOiA (HADES) (Challenge)
Pluto Relinquish (Challenge)
MAX. (period) (Challenge) (Expert steps from EXTREME CS)

Level 3 : Ordinary
Level 4 : Superior
Level 5 : Marvelous
Level 6 : Genuine
Level 7 : Paramount

Level 11 : Ludicrous
Level 12 : Transcendent

Partial Default Songlist (available from start)

The following are some of the more noteable KO songs in the default songlist, though the game itself would obviously include many MANY more. New KO's and bemani crossovers would be seperated into different colors on the songlist. (The only other bemani game I play is IIDX, so I've only included IIDX crossovers, though the game itself would of course include Pop'n Music and GF/DM crossovers as well.)

EXTRA STAGE / BOSS SONGS

If the player, for at least two of their songs, got an AA or higher (or simply an A or higher if the song was at least a 10), the player will earn the Extra Stage. There are no forced modifiers except that handicap mods are disabled and it is played with a heavily weighted lifebar. With the Extra Stage lifebar, GOOD causes the lifebar to drop drastically (about 60% of the total bar), while ALMOST and MISS will drain the entire lifebar and fail the player. PERFECT and MARVELOUS only increase the lifebar very slightly (about .5%). For Extra Stage, a boss song will be available to play. If the player simply met the basic requirements for Extra Stage, a single boss song will be unlocked (which I'll call the Lv. 1 Extra Stage song). If the player went further and got an AA or higher on a 10 or higher for at least two of their songs, another boss song (which I'll call the Lv. 2 Extra Stage) will be unlocked as well as the Lv. 1 Extra Stage song. There is no longer an Encore Extra Stage. After certain updates on the machine, the boss songs are downgraded, and a new boss song becomes availble for Lv. 2. Lv.1 boss songs are also downgraded to Final Stage only. Final Stage only boss songs are no longer required to be played as Final Stage to get Extra Stage. Unlike SN2, the Challenge difficulty is available for Final Stage boss songs. However, the Challenge difficulty is still locked for Extra Stage, until the machine's final update after all boss songs are fully unlocked.

Starting: Nexus (Lv. 1 Extra Stage), CHAOS mk II (Lv. 2 Extra Stage)

Update 1: Nexus (Final Stage), CHAOS mk II (Lv. 1 Extra Stage), Cocytus (Lv. 2 Extra Stage)

Update 2 : CHAOS mk II (Final Stage), Cocytus (Lv. 1 Extra Stage), Cocytus ~Judecca~ (Lv. 2 Extra Stage)

Update 3 (Only for players with at least Enjoy Level 100): Cocytus (Final Stage), Cocytus ~Judecca~ (Final Stage), Antares (Lv. 1 Extra Stage), Rigel (Lv. 1 Extra Stage), Sirius (Lv. 2 Extra Stage)

Update 4 (Antares, Rigel, and Sirius still require enjoy level 100): All boss songs except Antares, Rigel, and Sirius unlocked for regular play, Antares, Rigel, and Sirius available for Final Stage only. Challenge difficulty becomes available for Extra Stage.

So, Flashing 10 and F10+? Roll Eyes

F10+ could just be the ten feet having a similar thing going on as the full lifegauge from DDRMAX-EXTREME.

You need to work on your genres :\ and the space theme has already been taken. Too many Bemani Crossovers too. Needs more KOs and a few Licenses.

hmm...but Flashing 10's were basically just high level 10's. I'd rather it have songs that deserve a complete higher rating than 10. Just having flashing 10's and flashing+ 10's wouldn't get rid of the inflated 10 problem, and I don't think that FAXX and Xepher should both have the same number rating.

I did think about the flashing 10 and rapid flashing 10 idea for a while though.

Or you could just extend the rating system to 12.

The space theme was already taken when SN2 came out also. I personally think they should continue with it a bit longer, only don't call it SN3.

Those aren't the genres, its just basically what the song would sound like. Lol im no good at coming up with creative genre names.

If you haven't noticed SuperNOVA was based on the red giant star's explosion and SuperNOVA2 was the blue giant star's explosion so would BlackHOLE be a collapsed star? -_-?

In all the discussions I've read before, everytime F10s were brought up they were talked about as 11s, and you listed two out of the three F10s in EXTREME as 11s & 12s (Ex and Oni). The only one you left out was The legend of MAX. Tongue

And MAX. (period) Oni seemed easier than Expert to me. Neutral

I always felt that Paranoia Survivor Max (especially challenge) deserved a higher rating altogether than most other 10's

The legend of Max however, I think is a decent 10.

Also I flipped the MAX. (period) expert and oni. I did it so it would be less awkward in some of the challenge courses. Plus having oni easier than expert always kinda bothered me Confused.

They probably don't deserve 11 and 12, but hey, I like Max Period so i was a bit biased Laughing Out Loud .

What do people think of the songlist itself? And the unlocks, challenge courses, etc...?

The list could use some more variety.

And Trim Expert an 11? I have a hard time believing it's a 10. Confused

Removed Trim.

I guess your right about it not being an 11, but I can easily see why its a 10 as I still have yet to even pass Trim. I really hate those jackhammers in the fast section.

MAX. (Period) oni's groove radar on EX JP basically says it's easier than heavy. Oni should always be harder than heavy in my opinion. Annoyed

"Give me a steady beat."
Looks pretty solid to me, even if it's just wishful thinking. You've thought this out.

So basically the interface looks like black reflecting the light around it? The thing about black holes is that they create no light of their own. In fact they can't even be seen. The only reason you would have to believe you are looking at one is what's happening to space and light around it. It's like not being able to see a boat but being able to see the ripples it's making in the water.

Screen transitions can be all the visual elements getting sucked into the vortex and replaced by the elements of the following screen.

During Extra Stage have the black hole literally trying to eat the entire interface, sparks and stress noises coming from the screen elements and the lights of the physical stage flickering on and off in an attempt to continue to function.

I'd put a dollar in this machine.

CHALLENGE has been from the start an "alternate" heavy for the songs it's on. In 7thMIX the CHALLENGE steps were like really hard STANDARD stepcharts. Having the CHALLENGE steps be harder than HEAVY is the exception to the rule not the other way around.

Pretty much. After MAX2, they started using Challenge as an amped up version of the Heavy chart, and they still do. I personally believe they should embrace it as a fifth difficulty, a la ITG.

"DINGDONG♥HEARTS"
I don't think that they're the same songs. It's more like the songs are made to suit the type of special that it is.

Kinda like how Naoki makes boss songs for the purpose of being boss songs.

Yeah, they're slight remixes of the same song made to suit their stepcharts.

first off. MAX. (period) challenge/oni is EASIER than expert/heavy. Some pre-SN songs suffer from this backwardness (sakura, kakumei off the top of my head. dynamite rave also but I consider oni more of a reinterpretation than anything else as it is the only version with freezes).

IMHO, FELM expert will always be a 10 footer. I actually find SMMM oni harder than FELMe.
