so who here owns a music arcade game?

Just curious, i want to see how many people actually own the arcade games from the BEMANI series, and I want to see some pictures.

This thread is mainly just for fun, and some bragging rights. I also made it because I want to buy a arcade machine, and my parents are nagging me not to because "no one owns those machines, or would put them in their house". I want to prove them wrong, and go grab a machine soon, or eventually, so this could also help me. As well as making the thread just for fun.

It's nowhere near $8,000 for a used Extreme. Alot more than $8,000 for SN and above, though.

you are getting ripped off for buying one for that much. You could import a EXTREME machine for less then half that price.

You need to find where to look, and ask around.

I am going to be getting a beatmania machine soon (not IIDX, just I), my parents really dont approve of me buying one either. I have snuck stuff around them before, like the japanese XBOX 360 I bought (I bought it with my own money, but they dont know). It will be the 20th console I own.

You just have to see how others got their (DDR) machines, sometimes betson sells crappy DDR machines that can be fixed up, I dont know if they do that anymore though, but I now they used to.

I'm thinking about importing a IIDX Troopers machine for about $18000 but I don't know because I could buy a decent car with that amount of money...

I'm gonna try to get three million dollars (or something), and then open an arcade, with a YMCA beside it, and then there'll be a gym equipment store right beside it. There'll be DDR, ITG, lots of classic arcade games, Ooh, this'll be fun... Except I'd need to put two or three DDR machines, and both ITG machines in my house first XD. That would cost soooooooo much...

I actually am going to open an arcade too. You will not need 3 million, you are insane.

I already have a binder with the plan of attack, arcade games, and the entire 25 page business plan, with floor plans, and expansion ideas.

Thats my plan when I am done with high school.

Oh? I'm interested in those, as I'm opening my own arcade sometime in the future as well.

well i dont own it but helped out alot for it. me and hf230 have a friend that has a ddr with mixes 1 to supernova and i believe he just recently got euromix 2 and disney rave. the machine where ive posted all my pics of scores from is the one.

That might be tough. You have to know how much it would cost to maintain the quality of everything, the most strategic location, what games you should include to draw the greatest crowd, etc.

Your work is cut out for you if you hope to build a stand alone arcade.
