I might purchase just to check it out. You never know if Konami snuck some Guitar Freaks in there...

AFAIK, Konami has stated no Konami Originals will appear in this game.
You'd think that with the popularity of TЁЯRA in the US DDR games (There seem to be two questions that every n00b asks about a DDR game: "Does it have BeForU?" and "Does it have TЁЯRA?") they'd slip in a few of those songs in there. Glide and Escape to the Sky might even get me to go get it.

Wow, I thought they would've added a couple of Konami Originals, but oh well.
I just saw a commercial for the game, and now I'm just waiting for everyone to complain about it, mainly the Guitar Hero and Rock Band players.

Don't you think it'd be like, a blasphemy to use Guitar Hero or Rock Band controllers with a Konami game? I mean, they did sue the owners of Rock Band and they might as well sue Guitar Hero.

They did mention it being compatible with other music game peripherals... so I'm guessing that's a yes. Otherwise they are basically being wtf with releasing the stand-alone games only.

you mean aside from the fact that activision pays royalties to konami for use of their patented design? and no, it isnt blasphemy to not want a 7th guitar and 3nd drum set.

Hmm.. I've seen the songlist on a few different sites and it's rather decent apart from the fact that every song is a cover

I don't think that actually happened yet, but yeah, all 40 songs in the disc are covers which is ridiculous.

They sued about the microphone copying Karaoke Revolution or something... Which I don't see how you can patent... It's a microphone

Wouldn't they have sued Sony for SingStar too if that was the case? A patent's objective is to protect ideas. A company must pay the patent holder if it is to use the idea in a product. For example, the GH franchise is currently paying KONAMI for the patent fees as KONAMI had the idea first.

Guitar Hero 1 had 30 covers and then a bunch of unknown, underground bonus songs. It's not that ridiculous.
Still, it's good to know Konami of Japan thinks we're just a bunch of dollar signs here in the States. Or Europe for that matter.

Wasn't it confirmed that The Least 100 Second would be on the game? And if there is no Konami Original in the game, why even bother buying it? It's just Rock Band mimicry...

Nah, that was never confirmed IIRC. This at best will unfortunately look like a GH/RB ripoff.
