My name's Nindyo. Right now i'm 16. I always play rhythm games I found. Note that I didn't really know that much, currently I play BEMANI games (that available in Indonesia), StepMania, osu!, LR2, K-Shoot, and many more that I even couldn't remember >_< Well I also play other games aside from Rhythm Games.

Aside from playing, I'm also creating Simfiles, Mapping Beatmaps (osu!), and Composing some musics.

Well, my name is Lee. I'm currently 18 years old, and just about ready to graduate. I'm not the brightest when it comes to academics, but I am a polyglot (Tagalog, English, Japanese, Korean, Thai, and currently studying Mandarin), a professional Hip-Hop dancer (for 3 years), singer (with 4 months of professional training), violinist (for 8 years), music producer (self-taught), and small business manager for my friend's cosplay services.

DDR was my first ever video game that I played when I came to the US, at the age of 5. Ever since then, my passion for the game has grown stronger as I age. So much so, that I would like to work for KONAMI someday.

...so I spent the last few minutes scrolling through this thread and realized I have never properly introduced myself at all. All I did was just say "hi I'm me" and welcoming new members aboard. Shame, isn't it? With that being said... *ahem*

Hello. I'm xRGTMx. As of this post, I've been a member of this site for almost eight years, so I've been involved with some interesting situations and circumstances throughout. I was introduced to this site to find some up to date official simfiles that DDRUK never kept track of, but then decided to take part in posting on the forums. Due to my idiotic teenage tendencies, I was a bit reviled by others, but eventually won the hearts of some others. Then again, there are people on this site that still don't like me very much, haha. For the past few years, I've decided to become a consistent contributor to the site, especially financially. Right now, I have the highest overall donation count for the site, which happens to be £200. After being loyal for so long, Alan (al2k4) appointed and reappointed me and Oni-91 respectively as a moderator, and have become the ZIv Mod Squad. Yes, we do have tambourines, what of it? I strive my best to assist Alan in maintaining the site visually, keeping up with the newsfeed, and obliterating spambots to their mortal demise, whereas Alex is just raiding Alan's kitchen while dressed up as Catwoman. What a chooch.

In the year 2000, when I was 7, I was introduced to the music gaming scene in Wildwood, New Jersey, where I found a DDR 1st cabinet in one of the boardwalk arcades. I saw someone playing and thought to myself, "doesn't seem hard at all", and tried it for myself. I sucked majorly, failing BUTTERFLY on . Even though I had a really rough start, I became very interested in DDR and other music games ever since. Thankfully, a DDR EXTREME popped up in my local arcade and I was playing that periodically. However, my interest truly ignited when I got DDR EXTREME 2 on Christmas, along with Guitar Hero. Yes, Guitar Hero was very appealing and popular at the time, but my main focus was the BEMANI franchise. I've started to do some online research on the music games that KONAMI made, and found myself holding BEMANI as a part of my life. As of now, I've happened to play DDR, Dance ManiaX, beatmania, beatmania IIDX, Guitar Freaks, drummania, jubeat, REFLEC BEAT, and SOUND VOLTEX. Currently, DDR, jubeat, and REFLEC BEAT are my favorite BEMANI titles (mostly the latter).

Another thing to mention is that I love music production. In 2009, I started using FL Studio and posted a good amount of my experimental works in a few of my simfile categories. Right now, I've kinda shunned them due to my standards being much higher right now, but if you want to take a peek and listen to them, be my guest. Hello, I'm Ryan. I am 17 years old and I live in Baltimore, MD. I've been playing DDR since I was 6 and also a big Pokemon fan, with a huge Pokemon figure collection. I've been playing Pokemon since I was 7.

I am also great at Stepmania, where I upload my AAAs to the Simulation section of the Picture Gallery on Z-i-V. I'm also getting my first car, a '95 Ford Escort, in a few weeks!

I also enjoy to make DDR edits, both on the home ports and in Stepmania.

I like 90s music, pizza (especially crab pizza), and traveling to new places. My favorite song is Your Woman by White Town.

I'm one of the few straight people on this site. But I don't feel alienated. The regulars here are cool and nice, even though they like to talk smack about me behind my back :eyes:. They've taught me a lot. I think I'm pretty cool and nice as well.

My name is Jess. I play DDR (US CS since '09) for the songs, gameplay, and characters (their designs are pretty freakin cool.) I like other bemani games like Pop'n Music and IIDX but they're not in my area so I witness them from afar. Closest machine is a US X2 that's in okay condition I guess? I'm not a pro so I wouldn't really know.

I remembered posting here, but it wasn't that "proper" to begin with, so I'll do it again, but longer, now that I really know the site.

Hi, everyone. I am Cody, a.k.a. black4ever. I just turned 17 and currently entering an art course in college. I am really into graphics so you might see me contributing to DDR Banners and Custom Backgrounds from time to time (I'm coming for you, Dan). I do digital artwork as well and have a deviantART page if you're interested. I like browsing through TvTropes when I get bored. I am also a REALLY big fan of the Konsento/Concent characters (most of my fanart are about them) because they seem ignored and underrated compared to the rest of the characters (I'll stop there for now.). I am also an Aspie just like AnonyWolf, but I won't let that stop me.

I've been a big DDR fan since I was 5 and that's the game I always look forward to at arcades. Sadly, I don't play it that much because I made up this rule of not playing DDR on a full stomach, and the fact that I have so much things to do (in other words, stress). I have a passion for hip-hop dancing, though I'd rather be DANCING ALL ALONE than dancing in front of many people. This makes me want to play DanceEvolution ARCADE. Before exploring this site, I only knew about DDR and DanceManiax; now I know more BEMANI games like jubeat and REFLEC BEAT, and GITADORA (I only played GuitarFreaks,) thanks to this site. I really wish I could play IIDX, pop'n, or Sound Voltex because they seem like a good challenge to me.

I used to play DDR a ton about ten years ago, and eventually got into designing simfiles around 2006. I was an active participant in DDRExtreme.co.uk/DDREvolved.com packs, as well as the Best-Mix contests, but since both communities have pretty much faded out, I haven't really gotten around to StepMania a whole lot in the past few years. I'm trying to get back into it, and I figured I'd spend more time here, since there still seems to be a very active simfile community, even several years after the mainstream decline of rhythm games in general.

I've had this profile for a few days, and I haven't done a thing with it. Guess I'll make that leap of faith into a first post.

First saw DDR in 2001ish at the Texas Station Arcade in Vegas (bunch of older kids playing it, having a good time. Thought it was the coolest thing ever) Started in 2002 with DDR Max when it came out on PS2. Was a really overweight kid, in the 'diabeetus incoming' zone. Showed a demo from a PS2 magazine disc to my parents of DDR Max. They were never more excited to buy me a video game.

Lost the weight (gym and diet helped, too) and managed to get down to 140ish by the time I joined DDRFreak in 2004, subsequently joining my local DDR community's forum. Was a typical 14 year-old angsty kid who thought he was the shit, so that went about as well as it could. Things did get better eventually and I managed to make some friends, and have some good times in arcades. Finally started passing 10s in 2005.

2007, parents divorced, moved with mother away from the rural area we were in, and in to the big, bad city. Started playing exclusively at the local arcades, got up to the 12 range in ITG, stopped playing 2008ish.

Now, I've spent years trying to 'get back into it' with little success. Just didn't have the heart for it. Did other, less productive things. Have managed to get back on my feet, and on track. Started reminiscing about 10K Commotion almost two weeks ago, eventually finding myself reading it again, when something just kinda clicked in my head. I felt like I suddenly cared about dance games again.

Have visited the local spot quite a bit lately. Local community still exists, even if a much smaller version of itself. Luckily we have a nickel arcade with a very well maintained ITG r21 dedicab (.20 a play) and a bunch of good players who are all very knowledgeable. The one thing that I felt was missing, however, was an online community. Everywhere I look, communities are either gone, almost gone, or on Facebook (so they're really toxic and not fun to be a part of) So imagine my relief when I found this place.

So here I am. Tried to paraphrase as much as possible, and left out quite a lot. Was hoping it wouldn't turn out that long. Good to meet you, and hopefully this proves to be a good time.
