"contactee" |
Hey fellow music game fans! Some of you might remember me from Bemanistyle, but maybe not because I mostly used to post in Forum Boredom. I'm a 34 year old collecter of all music games from 5kBeatmania to Harmoknight and everything inbetween. I'm proud to say I own *every* CS there is, I think around 140 games, and still play them all very actively. Been lurking here since bs went byebye and finally decided to join mostly because I know many of you from bs, vjarmy and even DDRfreak. Also of course, to make some new virtual dj friends as well! I'm not big on consoles (jpPS2 is still my main) but do I ever love my 3DS and Vita. Please feel free to add me on either or drop me a message, I won't bite I promise.
Oh yea, figure I'll get this out of the way now too. I'm a contactee. A flying saucer zapped me about 8 years ago, while I was playing IIDX RED CS. Check out my profile for links to my MUFON sighting report.
Looking forward to my time here!

I should probably introduce myself properly first, yeah.
Hi there. I'm Kurokibo. I don't really play much pad DDR (though not PIUseriously what were they thinking) and I play on keyboard. When I'm not destroying my keyboard I usually make some musics that might be unpleasant to some.
Looking forward to the pretty chilly community here.

Hi everyone!Ryan here.
I just stumbled upon this site while looking for simfiles. I used to play StepMania religiously a few years back...and when I say "a few years back" I mean back when bemanistyle was going strong. I made a good amount of simfiles and was quite proud of them. I went by the names "GitarooMan" and "KGWRave."
I recently got back into StepMania and I'm thinking of making simfiles again. Hopefully I can help contribute to this site. I look forward to meeting all of you.

Hey there, Ryan. Never heard of you because I never went on bms, but it's always nice to have more people submit their work for others to try out.
Enjoy your stay.

Hi.
I'm from Scotland, which is pretty much the middle of nowhere when it comes to any sort of music gaming stuff. Seriously, we don't even have proper DDR, and the only ITG machine I know is broken. For now I have to be satisfied with playing jukebeat and RB+ on my iPad, waiting for them to release any songs at all on either of them, and dream of an international IIDX home release (like BMUS, but better, and with more songs). I even have a fragment of a songlist in my Notes - I keep everything there.
My day is usually spent playing the above games, listening to the IIDX soundtracks (I have all from 12-19, plus 7th style purely for Max 300) and searching for FollowRef sources which have actual music. It's good to find a music game related site which isn't almost dead, and I hope I can contribute something here.
Side note: I am seemingly the only person in the world who likes DJ Yoshitaka's tracks.

Not necessarily. It just so happens that I've become a bit fond of his works, but it honestly took me a while to finally admit that to myself. Others may say what they want, but I think he is very versatile at what he does.
Welcome aboard.

The good songs with Yoshitaka are the ones that don't sound at all like the generic junk he makes every other release.
Example: Vem Brincar is pretty nice, but I feel like Tomosuke did 98% of the job on it. Same on Watch Out Pt.2 with Mad Izm, etc.
Stuff like Contract though...ehhhh...no. Not a fan when these kind of songs spew out.

Hello!
I have been lurking this site for quite a while and I finally decided to register.
While I'm new to this site, I have been in the community for a couple of years and I've met some wonderful people there.
I'm really bad at introductions but let's try.
Most people know me as Puuro, and I enjoy making gimmick charts. Some may have stumbled upon my stuff on youtube. So far most simfiles I've done have some sort of gimmicks and at this moment it seems that I will keep that same line.
Anyways, I got interested about ITG back when I saw some stuff WinDEU made, and he has been one of my influences and that said, I got interested about rhythm gaming in general as well.
When it comes to rhythm games, I usually play ITG on keyboard and sometimes on a pad if I get the chance. I mostly play Fiesta EX on a dedicab, because it is on an acceptable distance from the place I live in.
I don't know what else to say about myself so I guess that's it.

Greetings to you all!
I, am Taizen Chisou.
I have made my ascension from the depths of lurkerdom, to say.... hello!
I've played probably an excess of rhythm games in my time (*sweeps 408 logged Rock Band hours under rug*), but likely have nothing new for you all, for which I apologize. I'm not that great at these games, if my inability to Excellent in jubeat or complete DDR charts with AAs and the like are of any indication.
(Let's not talk about my time spent with Drummania. 2.00s are scary af)
Oh, I feel I should list them, now. Let's see, I have history with
DDR, OTO/EBA/osu!, Rock Band/Guitar Hero, jubeat, Reflec Beat, Cytus and Deemo, Theathrythm Final Fantasy, and...
Oh, dear. I'm afraid I've yet to play much more than that. I'm sorry!
If I ever return to Stepmania, I will bombard you all. With so many. Awful charts. There will be no survivors.
I live in America, in a hick state that hardly knows what computers are, so arcade visits are basically an illusion.
I'm 18, about to enter my second year of college, babysit a McDonalds, and like to make video games in my free time using a variety of development materials. I also draw crappy, animesque comics and scribble on note sheets and call it musical compositions.
...Ah.
Have I taken up too much of your time? I feel this post has become sufficiently rambly.
Thanks for checking me out, I guess.

Thank you very much!
Oh, but it is for the Low-Power White Nintendo Box for Children.
I take that back. I love the Wii to death, but it truly needed more AAA titles, RPGs, a less shit Pop'n Music port (Profuse apology toward anyone I offend here) and better use of shaders....

Hi there! Simon Here.
Online name is Hido/Hidoki. I'm from Chile and have been playing rhythm games since 1998 (The first one was Bust a Move 2 I guess)
Used to play on arcade machines (DDR 7th Mix and Extreme mostly) but I somehow quit playing a long time ago. Still play on consoles, mainly PS2's DDR and Pop'n Music. Also play Wii's DDR II, Cytus, Reflec Beat, JuBeat and Cross x Beats.
I think that's all, hehe. Nice to meet you
