You might want to consider Protect if you're going to do that next time. Not only will Toxic eat away that much quicker, but you set yourself up for less heat in the long run if you're going to do stall tactics (especially with Leftovers). Beats out using Curse at any rate, since you're already a defensive mon and quite frankly I can wall break it with Swords Dance use and consistently pounding on it with Brave Bird (which I did to a random passerby that used Curse with their Umbreon earlier).

Funny, I actually thought of having my Umbreon learn Protect, but I couldn't decide which move to get rid of. I've been playing around with it's moveset [Toxic/Curse/Moonlight/Substitute] a bit and switching out Substitute for Attract and Confuse Ray. I guess I'll try Protect next.

Confuse Ray isn't really enough of a problem to warrant using. At most it may force a switch out but confusion only works a quarter of the time. If you're looking for longer lasting damage, you'll want to invest in other status moves, which is why Toxic does the better job.

I'd probably run it Wish, Foul Play (if possible), Toxic, Protect. Wish would only activate every other turn but it does give you the ability to spread the heals. If you're not stuck on Wish, then go Moonlight instead.

PokeBank is live in EU and the free trial has been extended to March 14th. Still nothing on US.

I did confirm that Leech Seed affects the pokemon directly and not the spot that it was thrown at. I also confirmed that Leech Seed sends the absorbed HP to the same spot instead of allocating it to the remaining ally.
Haa, I feel like a guinea pig or something. ;P

Pfft, it's not often that I'm able to experiment things on Triple battle so I lucked out that you decided to use only three pokemon against me. I did like that you switched your dragonite to the other side of the field as it meant that I created an infinite health supply for my charmeleon. But we all know how that turned out. Tongue

I ordered the second volume of the strategy guide and wrote a review on Amazon for it.

The post adventure strategy guide is only as expansive as the content found in-game after beating it. As such, I'll just list a few things not mentioned in the description to help other potential customers decide if it's worth buying this guide.

The poster included is approximately 30in by 37in, or 94cm by 58cm.
The guide explains the functions of Battle Maison
The guide lists all available Pokémon found in Friend Safari
The guide provides the areas where the roaming legendary birds can be found to force them into Sea Spirit's Den
The guide provides ranking information for the Battle Institute
The guide provides extensive information for the Looker sidequest.
The guide has outdated information on the breeding mechanics. (to be discussed below)
The guide provides the locations of the megastones
The guide explains how the Pokéradar works

This strategy guide has the same layout as the previous guide, with an introduction of the new location with a checklist of items and Pokémon obtainable in said area, followed by points of interests worth checking out. Just like the guide before it, it has a list of the egg groups readily available, so there's no need to refer to the previous guide for the information. The guide also gives information on how Pokémon breeding works but it's a tad outdated. The information that is outdated is still correct, but it does not explain that the mechanics have been simplified, making it far easier to breed a Pokémon with the desired traits.

The first half of the guide does its job in assisting the player find all the post-game content while providing tips where applicable.
The second half of the guide, which is the Pokédex, is as informative as it can be. The Pokédex provides an in-depth look at the Pokémon's level-up moves, TM&HM moves, egg moves, and tutor moves. It also provides information on where to find the Pokémon, the facilities you can use them in, and the damage taken in both regular battles and inverse battles. Superfluous information includes their evolution line and front/side/rear views of the Pokémon. The Pokédex guide also provides extensive information on alternate forms, such as the multiple patterns of Vivillon.

All in all, the guide provides the necessary information that you need in one handy location if you dislike browsing the internet for the information and does a great job with the Pokédex. However, it does have its downsides:

The guide only has the Pokédex information for the three Kalos regions. So you won't find information on Pokémon not native to Kalos, like Rattata and Entei.
The information to find items is not as extensive as guides found online.
The Pokédex does not use numerical values for the base stats and still use the bar system from previous guides.
It's paperback.

In Generation V, only the males can pass down moves, and only the females can pass down the Hidden Ability.
In Generation VI, both males and females can pass down moves and pass down the Hidden Ability. The female will pass down the Pokéball that it was caught in to its offspring. Example: a female Pancham caught it a Net Ball will always pass the Net Ball down to its offspring. Master Ball and Cherish Balls cannot be passed down.

I didn't mention the sites like serebii/bulbapedia/smogon on the review to avoid it being taken down. GameFaqs has better extensive guides on collection the megastones, so there's really no point in buying the guide.

You know if you're going to have six legendaries on a team, make sure that you at least stay for more than a round.

Triple Battle Start:

Yvetal, Thundurus, Keldeo

vs.

Talonflame, Terrakion, Gengar.

By the end of turn one, only Yvetal is standing in the red. Terrakion is up one attack stage due to Yvetal using a dark attack on him.

Player quits. There were more legendaries coming too.

EDIT: So I went through and did all kinds of battles. Doubles, Triples, Rotation...just to see if I could put this 0V Terrakion through its paces. For being 0V, though, it always tends to wall people. It's a nifty sub for Tyranitar, if nothing else.

Rotation:
B4FG-WWWW-WWW5-7CYY

Killing Legendaries. This happened a lot.

Doubles:
HUZW-WWWW-WWW5-7CYP

And again. Darkrai. I hate Darkrai.

Now for the actual fights:

Doubles:
ZS7W-WWWW-WWW5-7CYS

Real talent here. The only reason I won was sheer force.

Triples:
YXYG-WWWW-WWW5-7CJW

And same here. Sheer force winning the battle. Considering I ended the fight 3-0 and every single one was statused, it's certainly something to learn how to mostly cripple ridiculous teams using UU and below pokes. I'd venture to bet this guy has taken down legendaries with his team.

Info on getting Celebi.

Expect online fights to get a lot less winnable.

I was hyped for Pokemon bank until I found out I still had to catch the last some legends on my old games... yay, procrastination

I would let some of these go, but for example last one on Platinum is Articuno and that's the best one geez

So I barely have any B/W legends... *whistle*

Still haven't even started Pokemon Bank. Caught the remaining legends in Platinum/SouSilver but I seem to have misplaced an event Deoxys. 0_o I remember putting it in Pokemon Ranch because my cousin liked it so either I traded it off or... ????? idon'tevenlikedeoxysmeh

I read some initial reports of Gen III pokemon turning into bad eggs when transferring over but haven't heard anything past that, so I'm hesitant on using pokebank myself. I really don't want to lose my hard-earned pokemon that I've bred over the years.

Edit: It's moronic that you can only play co-op battle maison if it's local co-op instead of over the internet. \\:L

Does anyone want some items? I don't really want anything in return (except something good for the Ability Capsule). Any Pokemon you send to me will just get Wonder Traded.

List edited. I decided I'm going to use Fairy safari Pokemon to deliver the items (Togepi, Swirlix, Clefairy). I might have more Moon Stones since Clefairy hold them sometimes.
