The harp used in Let The Beat Hit Em' -Classic R&B Style- was also used in DIVAS's Baby Baby Gimmie Your Love.

Whoa.
Apparently, in DDRX JP, there are hidden difficulties for PARANOiA MAX (SMM) and SP-TRIP MACHINE (SMM). The only way you could play these step charts is if you make every difficulty setting in the game become available (by means of hacking?)
Here is a video.
I don't own a copy of DDR X JP, but I assume these alternate step charts are playable in the Street Master Mode.
(I really hope someone didn't already post about this. That would be embarrassing.)

In DDR Supernova 2 DEAD END ("GROOVE RADAR" Special) have hidden steps in (IDK if this is possible in DDR X2)

After watching that, it made me ask:
Do you think that Konami was actually going to make full charts for the Radar Specials?

IIRC, the beginner steps were for the arcade version so the lights on the cabinet won't go crazy.

I understand fully.
It was just something to ponder. Even if it seems unlikely that they would have done that.

It's the same as the chart, just mislabeled. Post #812 · Posté à 2011-11-03 06:51:18am il y a 12.5 années

Yeah, this is the reason.

This is also the reason for this. The other charts of the SMM-Specials were for special use in Street Master Mode.

Not only is Horatio's chart different in the arcade, but Saber Wing 's chart is too. Look at the placement of shock arrows towards the end.

I'm pretty sure that is the Philip Webb who sang in "Until the End". Unlike other vocalists, Philip Webb doesn't appear to have a personal website or a profile page on some artist group's website (at least from the brisk googling I've done). Until the end was an interesting experiment, I hope Naoki makes more of those.
As pointed out in Maniac Mode 1 (Tyma and Max's podcast), the infamous Uh La La La version in Dancing Stage 1.5 is the Almighty remix, it just wasn't subtitled as such in-game.
Paranoia Evolution and Can't stop falling in love had technically-but-not-quite handplants in their solo charts (the Left, UpLeft, Right and UpRight panels IIRC must be stepped together at the end). Also, a popular rumor is that Solo pads only have one sensor per panel.

I'm pretty sure there are literally hundreds of Phillip Webbs in the world. What tips you to thinking that it's this one?
Also even though the stage design is different, the sensors and arrow panels on Solo machines are exactly the same as regular DDR games.

I noticed that the course mode in DDR X2 is automatically done in challenge mode, meaning your life bar has four lives. (I was caught off guard but thankfully it was 5 difficult songs and 1 expert song only). Is that the same for DDR X?

first part, not quite. several courses have lifebars while others have lives/batteries. IIRC generally courses with 5 songs will be with lifebar, while if there's more than 5 songs, it'll be batteries.
Since the course mode is changed completely in X, so I believe that this is the same for X. However, I think it was specified differently, not with the same criteria as X2 (I mean, there may be courses with 5 songs that uses batteries, I forgot).
Basically there are courses with lifebars, you just picked the wrong one (one with batteries). I believe this is From IIDX?

Courses in X2:
Courses chosen in "course mode" work as mentioned above. Courses with 5 stages all gain the use of a full life bar, while courses with 6 songs (such as From IIDX or Boss Rush X2) or 7 songs (the only example being Vs Replicant) receive an 8-segmented battery under their normal difficulty, and a 4 segmented battery under their "difficult" difficulty. Unlike DDR Max and Extreme where the battery regenerated depeding on the difficulty of the song or course, and Supernova 1 and 2 where the battery only regenerated 1 segment at the end of every odd-numbered stage, the DDR X2 battery regenerates 1 segment after every stage, regardless of difficulty, up to the maximum number of segments as declared above.
Courses chosen in "dance drill mode" all have 4 stages of similar difficulty, and a lifebar is used as the gauge. However, it reacts differently to normal play. When the game begins, the lifebar is completely full (as opposed to half full). If steps are missed it will deplete at the usual rate, however, combos will refill the bar much more slowly. It's possible to have a 100 step combo with the dance drill lifebar only halfway to full. As with other courses, the lifebar does not refill between stages. As such, dance drills end up being about accuracy as much as stamina.
