The story of your nickname.

For ZukinMan/Zukin-Man:

I wanted to join DDR Freak, but wanted some kind of forum name that wasn't just a first or last name. I was a fan of the Zukin characters, so I wanted something referencing them in my name, but the thing was, all of the Zukins were female. Then I remembered something: Each Zukin character had one word in their name to describe them, like Princess-Zukin being a princess or Maid-Zukin because she was a maid.

Heck, why not? I'll call myself Zukin-Man because I have man-parts between my legs.



For Howie (as more familiar people know me):

This is normally a long, drawn-out story, but I'll try to condense it as much as I can.

There were some idiots at my high school who would rather assume my name is Howie than ask me myself. People at school start calling me Howie.

I go to the arcade. Some guys from my school show up. They call me Howie. The arcade manager and best DDR player at the time catches this.

I get better at DDR. Less experienced players want to know my name. Asking me is obviously too complicated, so they ask the manager. He tells them my name is Howie. No one knows who [insert real name here] is, but they know Howie is that new up-and-comer. Word gets around that "Howie" is becoming one of the better DDR players at the arcade.

Everyone starts calling me Howie. This annoys the crap out of me. I realize how painfully common my real first name is when it's frequently called out in crowded areas but never used to address me. I give in.

My name is Howie.

Well, dur. You're taking three characters that most people would bone, putting them together, then comparing them all to one character that most people have little to no sexual attraction to. It's like saying, "Hey guys! Mixing Coke, Sprite, and orange soda tastes better than urine!"

...And don't get it twisted. As much as I like Robo-Zukin, I do not have a piss fetish. The urine was for the sake of comparison.

I think I actually needed this explanation. At the risk of sounding like an ass, whenever I read your name, it usually registered in my mind as a certain racial slur followed by the word Mudkip...though I admit, that does generate a rather humorous image in my head.

I made up this nickname. I didn't look around, see something, and decide to name myself after it, I actually came up with this combination of letters.
Near as I can, I'm the only person that has done this. Must patent process....

i made up my name too. i took the first letter from my name and doubled it to KK (i think i was thinking of animal crossing at the time ). I then added the random lower case i cause it looked cool . And then I added the difficulty level ONI from what I seen in UM4. And there we have KKiONI! I actually also latter found out all the letters in my username can be found in the Konami logo so then I edited it to say KKiONI and now its my avatar!

To Zukin-Man:

Are you "Iron Chef Howie" or something like that who posted the expert stepcharts of Healing vision (GRIDLOK Mix) and Put your faith in me (steve porter mix) on youtube?

Mine is quite long since I chose my username from a list of my existing usernames from other websites. And I think I'll tell about them, so "grab a cup of hot chocolate and make yourselves comfortable".

I love the megaman series. Mageman is "born" because I have no money to buy an original megaman legends 2 game cd (for psone) so I settled for a pirated copy on some shady store. And when i looked at the side, it reads as "MAGEMAN LEGENDS 2", and there it is. 17 is a random number from my list of favorite numbers.

Others are japanese_youngster (from Tokyo Jihen's revival of "The Lady is a Tramp", mislabeled as that one), megawarrior (a cheesy attempt to fit a name into the battle network series).

my real name is tyler. one of my favorite movies was "waiting." my last couple of jobs were waiting tables. one of the busboys was named theodore, but went by t-dog.

I don't have a nickname in regards to my real name, probably because it's too short. But in regards to my username on here, and my other usernames on two other websites, here are the stories.

DanceddrMANIAC (dead):
I used this only on FlashFlashRevolution.com. It's pretty obvious as to how I came up with this name. "Dance" is because I like dancing, "ddr" is self-explanitory, and "MANIAC" is a mixture of how people would call me a maniac at DDR and how that was the previous name of the "Expert" difficulty. But now, I don't even use this username anymore, so DanceddrMANIAC is dead.

DdrmaniacmaN:
For the most part it's the same as the above, except for this one, I added my gender. I use this for youtube.com, and I think something else, but I can't remember.

NEMESetup (prominent):
This is formed from the song "NEMESIS" from beatmaniaIIDX 6th Style and its artist, "D.J.SETUP". Since this is one of my favorite songs, and I enjoy music from the D.J.SETUP alias, I combined the two and created "NEMESetup". I first came up with this on bemanistyle.com a couple of years ago, and now whenever I become a member on a BEMANI related website, this is what I use. And this is also my simfile name.

I used to use "pentium5dot1" or some variation thereof on various websites (it is derived from my general interest in computers, the 5 being a simple step up from the Pentium 4, and the rest is a long story). I tried to register that name on Wikipedia but was blocked for a username violation simply because it contained the trademark Pentium (that was in late 2006; the current username policy is not quite so strict). I panicked and searched my mind for ideas for a new username (for general usage; I still haven't tried registering again on Wikipedia). I thought about a certain chocolate product containing 85% cocoa, and...well...

Um...about NRG. Anyway, nc feat NRG Factory has "NRG" words too. So, i like nc feat NRG Factory music, especially Seduction (Vocal remix). I don't know what's wrong with "NRG" word ?

The main thing I dislike about most NRG songs is that the rhythm is either bland and repetitive, or overly extravagant.

I somehow forgot to post in here! And I see a couple of members have yet to do so!

I got my first experience with the internet at age 12. And Yu-Gi-Oh! was the "in" at the time so I decided to look up websites that relate to Yu-Gi-Oh tournaments. One of them had a requirement to register to see more of the site so I decided to register. Turns out I needed an e-mail address, so I went to Yahoo and, like, stared at the monitor for a good 30 minutes before deciding on a username. I came up with silenttype but I decided to add in 01 later on for archive purposes. I'm currently up to 03 right now. I like peace and quiet so you won't see me talking much if you're around me, thus I'm a silent type of person!

But an e-mail address with "silenttype" in it would look rather weird so I created a more formal username for job applications, and memberships, and other stuff like that.

I started to used 'Ai' in my 1st grade at highschool, (word "chan" was using to called a girl in japan) . I used it as a username in one of the indonesian forum (funcafe if Im not mistaken). And I got it from Ai Minako (sailormoon), and lil' change from my last name. But then my closed friend started to call me with that name if he/she wants to asked something from me ^^a

I was a stupid DDR player in the past

by time I learned little by little.....

and I found 1 song that suits me well, that is : Exotic Ethnic !!

It's cool crossover-steps made me love it

several weeks and I made my first AA (exotic)!! (with only 1 good )

my friends start calling me "exotic" since then.....
