StepMania accomplishments thread (56k!)

Played a bit of SM today because I haven't been able to play on pad for a few days now.

Now I wanna PFC it...

I already had these scores for at least a few weeks ago.

For some reason, my computer doesn't get that the screenshots folder is for SCREENSHOTS, and so I don't have any pictures.
Played some MGD3 (on Stepmania, so it counts) and:
I Can Walk On Water, I Can Fly Pro - FC, all mines dodged
Filth In The Beauty Pro - Cleared (74.xx%)
Destination Unknown Insane - Failed 3/4 of the way through. Shame too, that would have been my first 14.

Also, I downloaded the LSP pack and cleared Lesson 1A with a C. DEAR GOD THAT WAS HARD. (For those unaware, LSP is Lesson Single Play, a series of DDR edits that were made to be extremely difficult. Lesson 1A is an edit of Star Gate Heaven (Future Love Mix).)

If you're using a new StepMania (I know sm-ssc does this) the screenshots are put in the AppData folder. Type %AppData% into a folder adress bar and look for a Stepmania related folder there and that may be where they are.

I'm using plain 3.9. Bringing up %AppData% does not show a folder for it.

If you're using 3.9a (e.g. you downloaded StepMania from stepmania.com within the last few months) then it's saving your profile data to your My Documents folder. That should include screenshots.

I'm using Windows 7 and it doesn't have a My Documents folder. While it has a Documents folder, it didn't create a folder in there.

StepMania (And a few other games and programs) will actually force the creation of a My Documents folder right alongside your existing Documents folder. You won't see it in Groups, which is the way Windows 7 wants you look at your files, you'd have to go to "C:\Users\*your user name*\My Documents". There's also the odd possibility that you need to turn on hidden files and folders.

maybe you need to "Run As Administrator"
if you don't do that on 3.9a, screenshot will not show on screenshot folder

Tried both of those, neither worked. There is a My Documents folder, but it's a clone of the Documents library.

There's only one account on the computer.

This might have something to do with it: I recently uninstalled Stepmania AMX because of how it didn't take the OGG patch. Also, I had to manually create the screenshot folder.

are you using windows 7?

i using Vista and i tried without "Run As Administrator"
when i pressed PrintScreen, i looked at screenshot folder on Stepmania Folder
and no screenshot made
so, i recommend to "run as administrator" on Vista/7 to make things work

I suppose the Print Screen key might not work if the keyboard is improperly mapped. In StepMania go into keyboard config, select Screenshot and reassign the Print Screen key and see if that works.

@PHN!X: What do you mean "doesn't matter a great deal"? That's an awesome score! Heck, it's way better than the best I could do on the keyboard. I can't even full combo it for that matter

Lol thanks. I just meant that its meant to be played on pad, so I thought it wasn't too significant compared to a good pad score. Glad to hear that other people don't think that

i just got some unpredictable scores, especially at extremely difficult charts.

first, 桜 MAXX AA at Expert.


then, second, same song at chalenge (but i told you, there's no mines here, maybe later i'll play with mines)


maybe that's enough today. i'll upload more accomplishments tomorrow.

Yeah , theme elements look weird. Max combo may be wrong due to ITG2-ness.
