Eh, I liked Dynamite Rave and and friends when I first started playing, but since then, they've faded to "meh" status. I don't care if they disappear, but I'm not celebrating either.
If the announcer disappeared, I'd celebrate though.

That's odd, seeing as how those remixes are on the Japanese machine.
If the vocalist contract theory is correct, then they might be remaking those songs with the new vocalist right now.

Piggybacking off this, the Japanese machine might be 'safe' since it was released before the expiration, and it may be that as long as the product was released before the license expired, it was fine. I imagine that's how ME AGAINST THE MUSIC got into SuperNOVA2 AC but not the home version; it was likely the very last Dancemania license acquired before the contract expired (and there might be some clause stating it can remain as part of the SN2 AC songlist for a while).Post #5484 · Posted at 2009-05-09 07:37:36am 16.2 years ago

It could also be the lyrics that they don't want to pay for. They've already updated most of the old Naoki songs with new vocals and lyrics,
It's probably to do with Londell Hicks, though. He does the rapping bit in the middle, and he's already had most of his DDR songs re-recorded other vocalists. B4U, 1998, Hyper Eurobeat, Keep On Movin' and now Dynamite Rave have all been re-recorded in the past year.
It might be worth checking if End Of The Century is still there, or whether it's had it's vocals removed or changed? That was the only other Argie Phine song on DDRX, so if it's an issue with her royalties, then that would have been changed as well. Londell Hicks is on the song as well, so if it's a royalties thing, then that will also be affected. It was made by the same 3 peopel as Dynamite Rave.
For reference, here's all the songs in DDRX which were made over 10 years ago, and the vocalists who sung them. 4th Mix is included as well, because if the theory about royalty contracts expiring is correct, Konami should re-record these songs soon :
DDR 1st Mix
Make It Better (Public Domain Samples)
DDR 2nd Mix (1998)
Am-3P (Uncredited Samples)
Brilliant 2U (Londell Hicks - Re-recorded in 2008)
Keep On Movin' (Ebony Faye - Re-recorded in 2008)
Put Your Faith In Me (Public Domain Samples)
DDR Solo Bass Mix (1999)
Can't Stop Fallin' In Love (Paula Terry)
Cebelrate Nite (Uncredited, assumed to be Argie Phine, Re-recorded in 2008)
Super Star (Uncredited, assumed to be PD)
Think Ya Better D (Uncredited)
DDR 3rd Mix (1999)
Afronova (Public Domain Samples)
After The Game Of Love (Scotty D)
Drop The Bomb (Scotty D)
Dynamite Rave (Londell Hicks and Argie Phine - Re-recorded in 2009)
End Of The Century (Londell Hicks and Argie Phine)
Gradiusic Cyber (Samples owned by Konami)
La Senorita (Thomas Howard)
La Senorita Birtwal (Thomas Howard)
Love This Feelin (Akira Yamaoka)
Silent Hill (Thomas Howard)
DDR 4th Mix (2000)
B4U (Londell Hicks - Re-recorded in 1998)
Baby Baby Gimmee Your Love (Robbie Danzie - Re-recorded in 2006)
Burning The Floor (Robbie Danzie and Londell Hicks)
Don't Stop (JP Miles)
Drop Out (Public Domain Samples)
Higher (Sunny James)
Hysteria (Public Domain Samples)
Leading Cyber (Public Domain Samples)
Let The Beat Hit Em (Public Domain Samples)
Love Again Tonight (Paula Terry)
My Summer Love (Geila Zilkha)
Orion (Public Domain Samples)

Public domain samples. Also, we recently had a new Thomas Howard song in DDR, so he's still on board and I doubt there'll be a problem maintaining/re-licensing his lyrics/vocals.

Wasn't Londell Hicks the announcer from MAX-SN2? That would explain the new announcer as well.

They also re-recorded a load of BeForYou songs with new vocalists, right before removing them entirely from the game.. So I'd say Londell Hicks royalty money is a pretty safe assumption.

I remember reading in an interview from the SOLO AC homepage that these were recorded in California. NAOKI did hire vocalists for these songs.

Oh FFS
Licenses don't stay because they're licenses... makes sense.
DDR can't use Dancemania because their deal is up.... got it.
Can't use BeforU because KONAMI MADE THE CHOICE to not "advertize" a different group... ok, fine.
Can't use Konami Originals because they need to pay some guy who worked for Konami when he made them? And it's not like Londell Hicks is a rather known musician, even in Japan.... makes NO sense.
That's like saying a Tv show can't show reruns of episodes with actors who aren't on the show anymore because they are considered "acredited" to the show.

I can't wait to hear this with all new lyrics.Oh, I know what they can do about "Baby Baby Gimme Your Love". Use the version done by Terra. Blew my mind when I saw that in Dancing Wipeout.

Was likely the other way around. BeForU (or rather their label) chose to stop their songs on Bemani.

But how can they do that? They made the songs under Konami, they have the right to use their songs.

There are certain situations where the artist must license the rights to the vocals from the vocalist. One example in the Pump series is Dance With Me by BanYa.

It's not on anything. They just re-recorded it with Jun's vocals a while ago.
It's probably not relevant to this conversation, but if they ever need to change that song, they have a completely in-house version already recorded.
