You guys haven't been fans of any of his songs in recent years. Based on the comments in the Best Bemani Song voting thread.

His songs have sounded pretty same-y for the most part for years now, and this coming from someone who stans for DJ YOSHITAKA. It's not always a bad thing, but some songs have it much worse than others.

Artifacter from groovin'!! Upper was so good though; he really should have put that on DDR instead.

You guys obviously haven't heard of Metamorphose from pop'n music Lapistoria. It shows how he can be a great composer.

I loved TAG when I first heard Saber Wing. Enjoyed it on DDR X - day 1.

Then the rest went downhill from there.

Starlight Fantasia sounds just a tad like generic TAG to me, but I think the part after around 1:04 in the video is very pretty ♥.

Almost all songs under his CAPACITY GATE alias are really great, but the ones uner his main alias sounds all the same... and DDR got that.

Agreed!! Not only Artifacer, other TAG songs from other series can crossovered and will be a great point.
Responding, i like TAG, but on DDR, almost all his songs has the same style, he might add a GITADORA song, vary the style.

Well... I must admit, I'm a huge fan of ÆTHER. When I first heard it on REFLEC BEAT colette, I was pretty surprised at how nice it sounded, and it grew so much in me that its my favorite TAG song. It's so good. And THEN, it crosses over into DDR with a fantastic set of steps. Plus, it crossed over to IIDX. How about that?

Also, listened to the lineout of Starlight Fantasia. This song, too, may grow on me.

I remember when each new arcade game had 14 new songs, which was the norm for the majority of the games in the series.

50 is an absurd number to make up, and 'number of new songs that aren't crossovers or CS transplants' isn't a metric for measuring the quality of a game. By that logic, DDRMAX must have been the low point of the DDR series, because the game literally had 3 new songs.

But... isn't DDR 2013/14 technically one series?

I love TAG songs. D: Sort of like Yoshitaka in that yeah, his music does sound similar but because I liked one song I wound up liking them all because... well, they're similar. Of course, if you don't really care for one, then they mostly sound "meh."

Give me a TAG nonstop miiiix. A music newb could probably stitch together songs that all sound the game.

I actually really like the song AND the Single chart. The chart has the steps that - for some reason - reminds me of Burning Heat. Personally it's a 13.

Still not entirely happy with the 2014 situation, but a decent song for Christmas isn't bad.

Not gonna lie; I actually really dig both songs. It's funny cause I normally dislike songs from both music acts. The charts aren't half bad either. Surprised.
