We're in two minds about being on iTunes, because it means we can't use music. Once we get the demo out, and see how much the music adds to the podcast, we'll be able to figure something out.

In related news, we were rushing to record today, so I overlooked the simplest thing, and accidently slipped Max's voice into both channels of the mixer, meaning there's a slight echo. Also, I appear to have been drunk as fuck when we recorded this at 7pm this evening, so this demo show will definately turn out to be something.

Talk to the musicians in the community, DM Ashura, Vospi, DiskoWarp, Skrillex, xRGTMx, etc. and get permission to use their music.

Yeah, we're pretty sure we can legally use Konami music as well, but we need to make sure the podcast is GOOD before thinking of things like distribution.

Production Notes

It's 60 minutes long, and took about 12 hours to edit. The music is for illustration purposes only. We'll try and sort out music we can include in the podcast ASAP.

After waiting a few days for applications, we were in a rush to record, in order to get feedback, and give us time to prepare our first episode proper, to co-incide with the release of DDR II. You may therefore spot the same interesting production mistakes :

The podcast was recorded in 2 segments. At some point during the second segment, I accidently inserted Max's audio feed into the master audio feed. Because this is a demo, it didn't make sense to go back and re-record the segment.

This meant I couldn't normalise the 4 recordings, so sound levels are REALLY inconsistant throughout the podcast, and there's a little background noise, which won't be there on future podcasts.

There are more audio bugs in the first 3 minutes than there are in the rest of the podcast.

At one point, my phone goes off. If you can recognise my ringtone, you win a prize.

The music is used for illustration purposes. Please let us know whether you think this makes the podcast more enjoyable, or if you'd be just as happy with just 2 dudes talking for an hour, without hearing the songs they're talking about.

I'll try not to get drunk and giggly before we record another one.

Only thing I have to say is volume normalization is your friend. Other than that, you guys sound pro. Good job; would sub.

We were in a rush to record, so I didn't have time to set up a sound gate :{

The sound quality on an actual podcast would obviously be much higher ^^;

Wut? The arcade version of Bust a Groove doesn't resemble the PSX game? To be fair, I haven't seen screenshots of it.

It's the one by Metro Graphics and Enix, right?

I wish I'd played it. I have no idea how it plays, but it looks like it controls exactly the same as the PSX version?

I think it plays like the PSX version, attack and dodge buttons and everything. I read it from I think wikipedia.

Supposedly, there's only 5 stages, and Robo-Z is always the 5th and final opponent.
