I was wondering what the sequel of jubeat would be like. The turn to this ripple theme sounds really good. It's a shame that I haven't even been able to play the first game.

Well, it certainly is a difference when compared side by side. Only said it was weird, not bad.

That was fast, but then again I think it's one of those Bemani games which might not have a CS counterpart (DMX) which might explain the quickly-planned sequel. But thinking about it, it's gonna be quite expensive mass-producing the delicate 4X4 touch screen peripheral (I dunno if controller is the right word) intended for the home version.

It just wouldn't work for a home version to be honest. Since you play on the screen itself.

Now I can't see KONAMI either doing:

1. A controller with a screen on it that would connect to the console via USB as that would be too expensive.
2. A mat which you can put on the TV with sensors and align the panels in game, as you know, you could break the screen by poking too hard lol.

A CS version just wouldn't work.

1. It might break before it reaches the stores, but there's this recently discovered stuff called bubblewrap and/or styrofoam, but oh well
2. I'm pretty sure CRTs and most flat-screens will live through the trauma (unless it falls through behind the stand). I'm not sure about plasma.

More concerned about LCDs to be honest. Plasma is glass where as LCDs is like laptop monitors and shouldn't really be poked at.

I wouldn't be caught dead poking an LCD monitor if it wasn't my own.
So apparently, there isn't another way to emulate jubeat's gameplay for CS, since PPP was different in AC and CS. I haven't had fun from it to care a little more that it (likely) will not get a home version.

In all seriousness, it seems like the perfect app for ipod touch/iphone. It might be a small/simplified version, but the gameplay seems like it would rock on iphone.
