I just want to point out that Video Game retailers seemed to have stopped listing the game. I think this game has been trashed due to the response of players.
I kind of doubt that. After all, it's never stopped them before.
If I had to guess, I'd just say that they are reworking the game to fit X2 AC's style and that they've no clue when it's going to be ready.
I just checked Gamestop.com, and the 360 and PS3 versions are still listed as shipping March 6th. There's even placeholder boxart:

Now I'm seeing May 1st. Either way, two month delay is no good.

Two month delays are Konami's way of saying "See? We don't JUST hate Europe!"Post #2931 · Posted at 2010-01-30 12:10:39am 14.8 years ago

If there wasn't a delay we'd all be wondering what went wrong.
I wanna say that the feedback from the test locations is also being applied to the CS game code. I can wait for that.

We didn't know the final box art for Music Fit until just before it was released. Whether they're finished with it now or not I don't think we'll see it until just before launch. Something to wait in suspense over.

I dunno, but after X2, I think I'd rather see a late title done right, than a sloppy/rushed product that's released incomplete. Bear in mind here, they might be producing full-difficulty sets of 8-panel charts for all 1000+ songs in the series (or at least the 500+ Konami Originals), assuming they aren't autogenerated by the double charts. If so, that's gonna take some time to do right!
You see what GH/RB is doing with licensed/downloadable songs and their export/import system? If logic follows, there's no reason why DDR couldn't do that as well; and maybe that's what they're going for here! Buy the DDR engine once, include downloadable/exchangable skins (which face it, is the main "update" on each game anyways) and new tracks, and BAM! Production costs drop (and hopefully, so will distribution costs to us!). ~.o
Now, watch online mode consist of teams and solos. To be totally honest, I kinda hope this is a DDR-adaptation of the RB2 engine; or at least an approach in it's general direction.

Honestly, I'm happy they're pushing it back some more. That means they're taking their time with it and making sure everything is right before releasing it. Getting a great game later on is better than having a crappy game now, imo.
