In response to the various problems that have happened during round 1 of the U.S. Championships, Konami and the event company in charge of the U.S. Championships 2010 for DDR have decided to operate a single "Wildcard" round for players who have not yet earned an invitation to round 2 to get one more shot to get in. This will allow players who did not have a round 1 in their region the ability to attend. Top 3 scoring players in each age division will advance to round 2 for that location following immediately thereafter. Those who have earned a invite to round 2 cannot participate in this Wildcard event naturally. Those who have earned an invite to round 2 should soon be receiving a e-mail telling their assigned round 2 location, date, and additional information!
EDIT!!!!
Well its Friday, and they were suppose to reveal all of the locations on the site today which probably means someone hasn't confirmed yet. Who knows they may yet by the end of the day. However I don't want to see any players screwed. So since there is a little over a week before the first weekend of Round 2 events I am going to put the list of locations just so people can clear their calendars. Please keep in mind, that dates are subject to change because the information I have is technically unconfirmed. I also am posting the times for when the Wild Card Round is expected to start, so needless to be said make sure everyone is on time!!

EDIT 10/25/2010 As a round 2 partner, I received this letter from Konami today giving this unfortunate news.
Dear Regional Partners,
We would like to thank all of you for your interest and participation in this program. We want to inform you that Konami has made a strategic decision regarding the upcoming regional events. The entire process is being moved to an online competition. This is a new strategy for Konami and was only just mandated.
We greatly appreciate your participation in this program and, on behalf of Konami, want to thank you for your willingness to take part in this program to date. We will be contacting all participants to notify them regarding the online process between today and tomorrow.
We will be sending each regional location a gift on behalf of Konami and again want to thank you for your time and efforts to date.
Thank you

I haven't gotten my email yet about Round 2 locations. I am wondering how many people will attend the WildCard in Ohio. That's where I played, and on that same day, Round 2 will take place there at 5.

Any details about how this will work? Will we be playing via video at home or arcade?

The saddest part is that this could have all gone by without hardly any trouble if they just asked a few reputable DDR players to coordinate the events for certain regions. I'm sure there would be plenty of people willing to do the event for free as volunteers (I know that I would have). It's just sad how much community support they have at their fingertips, but they insist on this course of action. It's simply pitiable.

I received this message as an e-mail as I am a round 2 partner (Cheyenne, WY). Also it was not a matter of plenty of locations or volunteers, that was covered. But as a former Premiere Tournament Organizer for Pokemon USA, I can imagine the strain on Konami has on trying to do a lot of paperwork, legal work, and all sort of stuff. Perhaps they will be more prepared next year but for now I wish everyone can just be patient with this change. It is the hardest on the Round 2 locations as this was good advertising for their businesses.

I have no idea what the Round 2 location partners will get, if lucky I anticipate it will be just a copy of one of the new home versions. But I think I would enjoy a muffin basket myself.

I would rig the cabinet to my SuperNOVA pads and scrap salvage the rest. Then probably convert it into a Stepmania Machine....

According to this page: http://www.ddruschampionship.com/locations.html Round 2 has started and you are to submit a video to the provided email address of your performance of DDR (lol everyone submits a AAA).
Also, http://www.ddruschampionship.com/dates.html shows that Round 2 ends on the 22nd and Round 3 immediately begins, with a Round 4 (final) being held on the 4th of December.
Notably, I dropped out of the tournament due to this tournament surpassing its retardedness levels.

Good god, their submission rules link doesn't exist...
....so i can just submit any one of my AAA Youtube videos? Ok, i'll do that since your page is so damn broken your rules of submission don't exist, therefore Dr. D can just submit his MFC videos and win the whole damn thing, AND HE'S NOT EVEN LIVING IN THIS COUNTRY yet without the rules put up and no clear indication as to what you have to do, he can win now.
