So, I'm pretty bored right now, and just found myself thinking about my fav songs form DDR X, since that's all I've been doing outside of school work since I grabbed my copy. Anyway, post up your top 5 and bottom 5 songs from X. And be sure to use spoilers for a bit

I'm surprised no one is complaining about the story mode in DDR X.

I wish DDR would return to its roots and do away with these silly one player mission modes. It's all about the music and having fun!

I know what you mean. It's brutally painful, but avoidable. I think you can just unlock all the shit just by playing songs anyways so there's no point in doing all of that dizzy ass mission mode nonsense.

For me there is no best, its all worst.

i'm not sure why those SN2 songs were not there. i thought they should deserve a spot in DDR X. the game has been getting a lot of positive feedback, but it's been also getting a lot of negative too. they make an equal balance. The cons take out the pros. That's why I'm skeptical of buying DDR X

I actually like the story mode in this one, just because the stories are so silly.
The mission modes actually serve a pretty good purpose. They provide a defined starting point smooth curve for people who aren't good at the game already.

As for how unlocking stuff should work, I'd prefer to have the point/shop system back, so that I can leave crap like Venus and Taj He Spitz to be the very last things actually unlocked.

Some of the missions in Hottest Party become way too difficult for new players though. For example, players are expected to get a 180 combo on selected expert songs, and to finish the mission mode, they have to AA two 10 footers on expert.

Mind you, they are supposed to do this on a soft pad.

And? It's a curve from beginner to expert. Not some starting point before going to normal game mode, but something to work on continually, in between stints of normal game mode. The mission mode should be that challenging at the end.

Now, requiring that to unlock the last song, that I didn't like.
