WHAT IS THIS!?

Tournament of Immortals is a simfile making single elimination tournament. The first round will be the qualifier round in where everyone will submit one file. The top 16(unless we get 24 or 32 members in this) from the qualifier will enter the next round where we start Tournament play. From their it's one on one battles of making simfiles. The prize? The top 2 members of the tournament will get to be an admin for the 2013 Summer Contest (such as picking themes for the week and so on)

RULES?

1. You can NOT vote for your own song
2. ALL SONGS WILL BE PAD CHARTS. They can be DDR or ITG style.
3. Autogen steps of ANY sort will NOT be allowed.
4. 1 song per user a week. SO MAKE IT COUNT!
5. must have at - singles charts. Any other charts are optional (doubles charts also optional)
6. Banners and Backgrounds are not required, but they are suggested. Other members can help you out with these.
8. You CAN have CDbanners (X2,X3 style) or classic banners.
9. When submitting your simfile It needs to have the round of the song with it EXAMPLE: [Round 1] - New Decade (Yes this includes the -). This is so everything is organized and easy to get to.
10. All songs must be under 2:30.
11. All songs must be under the old 1-10 DDR and/or ITG's 1-13 Rating system.
12. In case on a tie, the tie will depend on how many votes the user made. (Example: if Member A voted for 2 songs as Member B voted for 0 songs, Member A will win the tie breaker) This will encourage people to vote.
13. Any trolling or constant violation of the rules will result in disqualification for the tournament and all files submitted by the member will be deleted.
14.If you have to drop out from the tournament, you will automatically be DQ'd from the round you are in. This is so we don't have members leaving and coming back every week.
15. This tournament will be Single Elimination. You can not upload a file if you are knocked out.
16. If you are knocked out of the tournament, you can still vote for songs.

HOW DO I ENTER?

Just state that you want in and I'll set you up, I'll try to give you a replay saying if you are in or not. You can also send me a PM that you want in the tournament as well.

VOTING

Voting will be SC rules just for the qualifier round. You pick your top 5 simfiles and that file will get points.

1st: 5pts
2nd: 4pts
3rd: 3pts
4th: 2pts
5th: 1pts

Once we start on 1V1 tournament play, members will just vote for the song they liked more.

DATES

Sign ups begin right now and you will be able to sign up during the qualifier round. However once voting starts for the qualifier round, it will be too late to join. The contest will start Monday April 15th at Monday 5:00PM UTC/1AM EST. We will have one week for submissions then one week of voting. This will go on until we get into the final 8. Then players will have 5 days to work on a file, and then 2 for voting.


April 15th - April 22nd: qualifier round
April 22nd - April 29th: Voting for qualifier round
April 29th - May 6th: Round of 16
May 6th - May 13th: Voting for Round of 16
May 13th - May 17th: Round of 8
May 18th - May 20th: Voting for round of 8
May 20th - May 24th: Round of 4
May 25th - May 27th: Voting of round of 4
May 27 - May 31st: Finals
June 1st - June 3rd: Voting for finals

I'll edit the dates in case of a 24-32 tournament.
