Oh snap...
This was my favorite game a long time ago. I was a cheapskate as a kid (even with my parents' quarters) so I would just watch the demo, but it was still really cool.
I had these building blocks that were kind of like Legos or K'nex but much more dynamic in shape, and I would make Galaga ships with them.

Oh, man! I used to play Galaga all the time in Martin! My highest level was 33, if I remember correctly.

Galaga is still one of my favorite games of all time. It's so old school, but it's so awesome!
Around where I live, there's probably three of those machines that have Galaga/Ms. Pac Man and whenever I'm in the arcade with that machine, they can't get me off! I've come so close to breaking the high scores on them, it's not even funny.
This pissed me off,
on one of the machines, I was playing it and got to about level 24 without losing a ship, then over the next 2 levels I lost all my ships, no problem, just put in another 2 tokens and continue...
It got to the screen where you have to do that, and it just let me continue, without putting in tokens, ROCK ON!!! Well, that happened about 4 more times that night, awesome! Anyway, about 3,000 points away from the high score (you know 3,000 is NOTHING) I lost my final ship and I was ready to put in tokens, just in case, this time I had to put in tokens, but do you know how much time it gave me to put them in? 2 SECONDS!!! WTF!!! The screen said 2...1...Game Over. How the hell can I reach into this little bathroom cup, dig out 2 tokens and get them put in within 2 seconds?!?
I was like, BURN YOU F**KIN MACHINE, BURN!!! I was so mad. Now I'm just laughing about it.
