The thing is, X2 pads aren't bad at all, they just don't last near as long as they claim. Only one pad has been reported to have the cross-wired issue (as far as I know).
You mean the sensors don't last as long. The pads themselves aren't the problem.Post #22 · Publicado en 2011-05-01 08:30:14am Hace 13.4 años

speaking of that, I wonder if one could replace X pad sensors with X2 sensors.

Why would you do that? You might as well just buy PIU sensors, they last longer.Post #24 · Publicado en 2011-05-01 09:08:20am Hace 13.3 años

because the X pads aren't bad, just the sensors I've played on decent DDR X pads, they DO exist.

That's what I'm saying, why would you use X2 sensors when there's PIU sensors that last a lot longer?Post #26 · Publicado en 2011-05-01 10:43:38am Hace 13.3 años

X2 sensors are fucking awful and I hope for all our sakes that the midwest doesn't ever get a Betson DDRX2.
And it's not just the X2 sensors that are fucking awful, Round1's control board is definitely fucked up so +1 to the list of shitty components Betson's given us. And the speakers are horrible.
And if they tested a Western dedicab in Japan for the next DDR, the location test would need to be at least 5 weeks. That's the lifespan of the shitty X2 sensors, proven from sea to shining sea in the USA. (And if they actually do test a western dedicab+pads in Japan, there'll be fuckin riots)

This one also has the same problem but it doesn't happen all the time:

Exactly. If Japanese players give the feedback it'll be different. Right now, Konami has the "Oh those Americans are complaining again, whatever." mindset when it comes to complaints. Japanese feedback will fix this.

Pretty sure Japanese people run Round1 at Puente Hills Mall. We'll see what happens in a couple weeks.
(Doesn't help me though - I've been waiting 3 months for DDRX2 to work properly, and I'm going to have to wait another 3 months (summer vacation) before I get my working DDRX2 in America.)

Your machine does this?
