Discuss... nickelodeon game shows. Favorite? Least favorite? Excited to discuss how terrible Make the Grade was? gogogo
EDIT: I'm sorry. I'm having an extremely severe case of Nickstalgia.

The original Figure It Out was amazing, Nick Arcade confused me a lot as a child.

Slime Time Live!!!! They'll never be able to recreate nickelodeon game shows like they used to be. Nick isn't the same only think I look forward to is the Legend of Korra.

I remember Slime Time Live, and I so badly wanted to be in it like crazy back when ALL of the Nick Live shows were in Orlando, FL, and I could have at one point but plans didn't fall through so I never got the chance to go.
I remember Legends of the Hidden Temple, Double Dare 2000, the original Figure It Out, and I am a slight fan of the new version, but I haven't kept up with it so yeah, good times those were.
Now the Nick Studios in Orlando got turned into the "House of Blue Men Group". Whats weird is that there are STILL some Nickelodeon memorabilia, offices, stages within that building even after it got converted over. In fact....
This was an UNguided tour of the stage just last year. So creepy yet incredible that some of this stuff may still be there to this day.

I think the sole purpose of Nick Arcade was to find some of the worst video game-players in the nation and make them play shit. I still clearly remember one of the challenges...
Joe & Mac: Score 500 points in 30 seconds.
Pterodactyls gave the player 200 points apiece.
Pterodactyls flew slowly and low to the ground and could be killed in one hit.
Essentially, score three hits against slow-moving targets in thirty seconds.
I still haven't forgiven the absurd number of kids who managed to fail this challenge.

^ Sometimes they had to play Sonic 2 and they would be told to get like 15 rings and they only got like 2 before getting killed by a badnik >_<

I remember Legends of the Hidden Temple, GUTS, Figure it Out...
The thing that always irked me about Hidden Temple is that NO ONE CAN FIGURE OUT THE DAMNED SILVER MONKEY, YET IT WAS SO EASY.

Not only they played Sonic 2 they actually played the beta version of it. http://info.sonicretro.org/Sonic_the_Hedgehog_2_(Nick_Arcade_prototype)
I know that I could have been a contender.

Anyone with a shred of coordination could have been a contender.
Considering some of the kids that were on that show, even that might be debatable.

YES!! When me and my brothers were young, I was 4, they were 6 and 2. We all wrote in to Nickelodeon for Slime time live. We really thought we were going to be on the show too! We don't live too far from orlando...8 hour drive maybe..but I was so excited, mannn, I really thought I would make it. I remember watching the host open the letters on the show, I was really hoping one of them would be mine, but it wasn't . I also remember calling in to do that matching thing over the phone, well , my mom called in, but I don't think she ever got through.
But last year , in february, I signed up for this contest for th 90s Are All That, and I WON!!! I won 4 dvd's: the first season of Hey Arnold, 2nd season (part 1) of The Wild Thornberry's, Season 1 of Hey Dude, and season 1 of CatDog. I was so happy
I still have a little faith in Nickelodeon though, they're not all the way lost....I think. Let's hope for the best.

^ Oh my god I'm actually jealous, solely for Hey Arnold and Catdog. Not a big fan of Wild Thornberry's, and I was a little young for Hey Dude, so...

And also, yes, Nickelodeon Studios, Orlando got turned into the Blue Man place. I miss the slime fountain outside!!
And yea, it's sort of sad to still see the old Nickelodeon murals still up. Like, it makes you hope that one day, maybe, just maybe, they'll come back. I'd been wanting to go to that place for years!!! But in 2006, I think that's the year, they closed, and moved HQ to California . They buried a Nick timecapsule in 1992, and it's to be opened in 2042. Atleast we have that to look forward to, right? xD But I'll be so old then....

I'd be a contestant on GUTS. I'm pretty sure I've established that it was before my time (Global Guts started airing around when I was born), I always felt I'd win. In retrospect, it was probably silly to feel that way, especially considering how I'm about as athletic as a sloth >_<

Athletic as a sloth!!?? If you can play a DDR song on heavy and do long streams, I'm pretty sure you've got some kind of stamina/energy built up in there somewhere! lol
I wanted to be on Double Dare too. I loved that show!!! I didn't really know what it was at the time, seeing i was probably about 3 years old, but I always knew I wanted to be on it.
I love Nickelodeon to death too!!! But recently, they've made me sad with the programming

^ you mean Double Dare 2000? I enjoyed that but yeah, I'm not athletic at all. I can do some DDR songs on heavy but that's kind of a different kind of athleticism. I can't play sports for shit or have enough endurance to do the obstacle courses. Plus, I can barely swim at all. I'd fail the show.

Lol, I can't swim either! But I can doggie paddle, if that counts. And yes, DD 2000 is what I meant. I always wanted to pie my parents in the face! xD
