I guess RBN will be the new production line for all new Rock Band songs from then on.
But the fact they had the commitment to pull it off for so long was just amazing: it proved that they knew what their fans wanted.

"Let's Do the Rain Dance" |
Update: Apparently, since some songs are nearing/past the 5-year mark, Harmonix is now having to do massive relicensing. However, certain artists won't agree, and their songs will be pulled. For this first quarter, the removals are:
-...And Justice For All (Along with the Pro upgrade)
-Blackened
-Ride the Lightning
So much for hope the Metallica exports would return. The silver lining is that anyone who purchased these already (like me) can still redownload and play them. This only affects new purchasers. Unlike this round, any removals next quarter will be announced in advance if possible.
