Are we 100% sure this'll be PS2? I would hope they jump to the PS3 with this release.
If it's for PS3, and if my PS3 (if not ALL) PS3's are region-free, i am SO pre-ordering this right now Other than that, it's sticking to a PS2 release

I am in the same boat as you, and I am pretty sure all PS3s/games for them are region free, what is not region free are movies, PS2 games, etc... So nice I won't have to mod a system this time to play Bemani

Waaaaa... I thought nothing could beat DJ Troopers.
just look at those revivals, every boss song is there, and some tigerYAMATO and Tatsh stuff, maybe they're back.

I always thought reviving boss songs was kind of dumb unless they did something like Scorpion Fire where they remastered the keysounds.
Leave them in their respective style.

HOLY JESUS LOOK AT THAT SONG LIST
I very nearly got a Japanese PS2 just for IIDX GOLD CS. I think now it's an essential purchase in my eyes...

Nah, it was a separate song. It's not in any original soundtracks.

Never played IIDX and don't know if I want to (buttom mashing can become pretty dull after time for me) but 180 songs sounds really great for those who do play.
Now I wish DDR got a release like this

That would be awesome.
Seriously, IIDX is mad hard and mad fun. It's definitely a game that you should try before you die.

Ummmm...these are just the songs being Data Collected. They didn't say ALL of them are going to be on the CS. We need more time before we jump to any wild conclusions.

The assumptions are from previous score data collections. The only time some songs were removed was due to licensing issues.
And with that list out, it makes players play those songs in the arcade for a chance that they get into the home version rival database. It would be very bad if someone spent a ton of credits to play every chart to get into the rival database and KONAMI goes and drops 90 songs after. Wasting 90 songs x 6 charts / 4 songs per credit assuming EXTRA STAGE = 135 credits wasted if KONAMI were to drop 90.

It be pretty pointless to data collect if they weren't going to put it on the game.

Nah, it's all part of Konami's plan to make arcades more money and then offer them upgrades to IIDX17/bmIV!

...I'm not going to get my hopes up... yet. I love most of the boss songs on IIDX so I won't be playing any other mixes any time soon if I get this.
Where's my all boss-song game for DDR?

Fixed for the lolz Konami won't make money off of that though, but they're trying to show that IIDX is still popular in the arcades (the Japanese arcade scene is slowly losing strength after all) and want to convince Arcade owner to buy more IIDX.
But uh this needs a few more 3rd/4thstyle songs to be honest :<
